THE EXECUTIVE BOARD SECTION Imane Boussaid: VP IM/Marketing Hello Ambassadors, I’m Imane, 20 years old and I’m a 4th year student at ENCG Kénitra. As far as I know
myself, I am someone who fell in love with AIESEC and Marketing and decided to join them both and for that reason I am your current LCVP Marketing. These couple of months has been crazy and my EB experience so far is going amazing. It all started last April when I applied for the position and the election process was quite challenging. I remember spending 12 hours filling my AF, going through the questions that made me think more about why I wanted to get the position and enlightened me about my visions and ideas. The speech was very intimidating; I was sharing my presentation in front of the members and having no clue about what was going on in their heads. The final step was the panel and that’s the ‘real deal’, this time I was not selling myself to the members but to a much more experienced people, AIESECly speaking. When I got elected I was relieved, scared and wet. Relieved because I finally got what I was working on for a month, scared because now I have a responsibility to fulfill and wet because obviously they spilled water on me. :D My first experience as EB elect was Natco where I spent four days getting to know more about my future EB experience and bonding with my EB mates and also my predecessors who were about to end their term and leave the floor to us. Then we headed days after our term started to the EB conference where we got to discover the MC planning and get to know each other more as an EB and start planning our term. Regarding the planning days, they were AMAZING. I spent two days and a half with great individuals under the same roof, discussing our term and strategies. They became part of my daily life so it was great to establish a strong relationship with them and I know that it will stay that way because we are not only EB mates but friends also, we care about each other and that’s what AIESEC is all about: ‘Caring’. My EB experience has just started and I expect great things from it and from the wonderful people I share it with. And to our beautiful members, I want to tell that AIESEC is about opportunities. You can’t expect to evolve if you don’t take the step and grab the opportunity. Joining AIESEC is not about being a member and staying a member for a lot of terms. At some point, you have to take the stand and make a statement about yourself. This will make your AIESEC experience much more interesting and fruitful. So take the lead, apply for positions, learn and enjoy being within this family. And never forget that we work hard but party harder and let’s rock our term.
THE EXECUTIVE BOARD SECTION
Sarah Ferri: VP TM I started my AIESEC Journey a year ago. Last December I was right where you are starting now, a new member in this amazing LC, reading AB newsletter like you. Back then, and before I joined AIESEC, I would have never imagined that one day I will be leading such a great local committee with the best members in AIESEC in Morocco and with such EB mates that anyone wishes to have. I learned many things through my experience, and still learning more along the way. I learned how to manage a team in my first OCP experience, how to focus on the goal and how to manage crisis and problems. I learned how to negotiate with schools and NGOs and convince them to partner with us on our projects. In my other experiences as OC member and OCVP Logistics I learned how to work under stress and pressure without affecting the quality of my work. In EB I get to practice my strategic thinking and plannings, projects creation and management, HR planning and management, and the list goes on ... I am telling you this to show you how any kind of experience, no matter how big or small it is, OCP or OC member, LCP or LC member ... it really doesn’t matter, as long as you’re learning a lot from the experience and believe me, you are developing yourself everyday while you’re handling your job. You don’t see it in the present moment, but once you look back at how you were and where you are now, you will then recognize the huge change that experience had on you. As I said and will always keep saying, Challenge yourself, Grab opportunities, small or big, just go for it! Does it scare you? Good, that’s exactly Why you should do it! «If someone offers you an amazing opportunity and you’re not sure you can do it, say yes then learn how to do it later.» - Richard Branson
Oumnia Sadaouni: VP iGCDP When I had joined AIESEC, I never thought that I’d be able to form part of the EB someday. The former LCP and LCVPs impregnated me so much as a member and so I got inspired to actually work and just do good. I gave the best of myself in my Organizing Committee President (OCP) term and the opportunity to apply Local Committee VicePresident for Incoming Exchange was given to me and I was reluctant a little if I may say . But then, when you just think that you can actually create your own opportunities, your intuition arises. Thus, I created my own opportunity to take the position and decided to seize it fully! I am still of the beginning of my term , and i must just convey to all of you that I’m living an amazing EB life so far . Some hurdles are up, trying to deter my journey but during my previous OCP experience I leanrt how to be bold enough to carry on . With my EB

mates, I’m getting to know more about myself and grow together as one person with a common goal. and of course , I am not going to drop the fact that we actually chill a lot with our LC’s amazing members .Without any doubt, I can say that joining AIESEC is one of the best decisions I’ve taken in my life, helping me out to know exactly what I was running for and what I truely wanted from this life, and then once I am about to leave this position and go for something else, I am sure that I’d have lived the DREAM.
Haydar Jazouli: VP Finance One year ago, I was just a random guy who thought his only destiny was limited to studies. I was certainly wishing for changes in our society but my mistake was to think that it wasn’t up to me to make them. Then AIESEC came, and a year went by : a year full of intense experiences, precious lessons, unforgettable adventures and amazing people....I realised then that the only vector of change was youth. Now, as a LCVP Finance, I am very proud and honored to be part of this change, and of an amazing generation of young leaders who shapes a better future for our country. At the end, my only regret about AIESEC is that i didn’t join earlier.
Nouhaila Aouatif: VP oGCDP Ever since I’ve joined AIESEC, I’ve always wondered had a smitch of admiration for the EB members. Most specifically for the efforts they invest to give the members the highest of example. But then I never really realized how hard they were working to actually get things done. Until I got to be at their spot, and had to handle their responsibilities. In a way, the EB member’s job seems easy and appears to limit itself to indicating assignements. When it really is much bigger, it’s mostly guiding and leading by example. Furthermore, I’m still feeling that I’m in a constant learning process. And that each experience has its own benefits.
Mariam Trioua: VP oGIP When I joined AIESEC I was a returnee from OGCDP, I spent the summer of 2013 in India as a volunteer and enjoyed so much AIESEC culture, when I came back to be a member of OGX department working on OGCDP, because I wanted to provide a better experience to future volunteers, then I applied for a director OGCDP and got the position. After that term
THE EXECUTIVE BOARD SECTION
I decided that the first reason of being an AIESECer is to go on exchange, then I went on another OGCDP in Greece in summer 2014. When I was back I applied for an EB position because one was still available, and since I had all the knowledge about that department I went through LCVP OGIP panel and passed, thats when I realized that the best part of AIESEC is by being part of it and by acquiring leadership and experience. AIESEC is a life style.
