New Online Services
YDL is fortunate to have a substantive art collection for visitors to enjoy, and all of our locations boast works by local artists or those with a connection to the Ypsilanti area. The catalog contains images of works by these artists, a brief description of their work, an artist statement, and an index to the location of each work. You’ll learn more about your favorite pieces or discover works you might have missed on past visits to the library. In his introduction, Tom Venner, Dean of Arts and Sciences at Eastern Michigan University, writes, “The art is as accessible as could be in this gallery-like space. Spend some time with it and you will feel you've made several new acquaintances from your own community, or perhaps beyond, each of whom has much to show and teach us.”
