Troubleshooting In Three Easy Steps Video Issues

Sound Issues

Step One

Step One Check the correct input on the control panel has been selected.

Step Two

Step Two Check the volume is at the correct level, adjust it using the volume dial on the control panel.

Check the correct input has been selected via the Control Panel.

Check that the device is not on standby mode. If so turn back on using the power switch on the device itself. After finishing your session switch off the system normally using the control panel

Step Three

If using your own device via HDMI check the monitor / output setting on the device to check if picture is being outputted correctly via HDMI. If you need any assistance please contact Media Services. University devices have been set up to work automatically with the system. Please don’t try and fix issues with any university devices yourself. Contact Media Services who will come and fix any video issues you may have.

Step Three If using an external device via HDMI please make certain the volume control on the device is turned up to high level, then use the volume dial on the console.

If you have followed these three simple steps and still have no sound, or the sound is playing back in low quality, please do not attempt to alter the sound level using the amplifier. Contact Media Services who will be able to come and quickly solve any issues you may have.

Attempting to fix the problem yourself could result in further disruptions for both yourself and other users of the technology in this room.
