Basic Setup and Operation Switch on using the power button on top of the camera
Open the lens cover by using the switch on the front
Open the LCD Monitor, if correctly set up an image should be seen on screen.
To record press the red start / stop button.
When recording there will be a REC icon onscreen, when not a S T B Y icon.
To zoom in use the swtich on top, Keep held to the left to zoon out, to the right to zoom in. The image will automatically focus on what you are trying to film.

Using a Tripod Extend the legs by opening the first set of clips, pulling the legs out and re-locking. [] [] [] If you need extra height open the second set of clips, pull legs out and re-lock. [] [] [] Then on the top of the tripod push the lock upward, keep it held then place the camera onto the tripod. [] [] [] To adjust the cameras position use the arm to move the camera left, right, up and down. [] Tripod Arm
Please be careful when removing the camera off the tripod after use, please release the tripod lock and keep it held as you pull the camera of the tripod. The tripod and camera are easily damaged.
Using a tripod will help produce stable footage, Perfect if you will be recording for long periods of time.

Charging The Camera On the touch screen there is a battery icon, This is an indicator of how much power is left. . . . If power is running low you will need to charge the battery using the mains adapter provided To plug the camera into a mains power outlet insert one end of the cable into the micro usb slot on the side.
Then plug the other end into a mains outlet or the power adaptor.

Playback of Footage. To enter the playback menu press the mode button.
Move the ok button left or right to highlight the clip you would like to view. Then press the OK button to play.
You can go back to the filming mode by pressing the mode button.

Transfer Footage When you return the camera to Media Services they will transfer the footage. You will need to provide either a USB Drive (8GB) or a blank DVD. If using a USB Drive you will be then able to edit your footage using editing software. All USB Drives should be clearly labelled.
