Basic Setup and Operation Turn camera on by holding the green button and sliding the switch to the right..
Open the screen and you will be able to see an image.
To record press the Start / Stop button, when finished press again to stop. You can also record by pressing the O button next to the screen.

When recording there will be a REC (recording) icon onscreen. When not it will say STBY.
To zoom in use the switch on top, Hold to the left to zoom out, to the right to zoom in. The image will automatically focus on whatever you are trying to film. Zoom In Zoom Out

Using a Tripod Extend the legs by opening the first set of clips, pulling the legs out and re-locking. [] [] [] If you need extra height open the second set of clips, pull legs out and re-lock. [] [] [] Then on the top of the tripod push the lock upward, keep it held then place the camera onto the tripod. [] [] [] To adjust the cameras position use the arm to move the camera left, right, up and down. [] Tripod Arm
Using a tripod will help produce stable footage, Perfect if you will be recording for long periods of time.

Charging The Camera On the touch screen there is a battery icon, This is an indicator of how much power is left. . . . If power is running low change the battery by turning the camera off, Remove the current battery by pulling down the clip on the bottom of the camera and then slide and pull the battery out.
Then slide the new battery in with the arrow on the battery pointing up.
To plug the camera in to a mains power outlet, which will charge the battery Insert one end of the power cable into the slot just below the record button and the other into a mains outlet.

Playback of Footage. To playback the footage press the PLAY BUTTON on the side of the camera
Then use the touch screen to select the clip you would like to play.
You can go back to filming mode by selecting the camera icon

Transfer Footage When you return the camera to Media Services they will transfer the footage. You will need to provide either a USB Drive (8GB) or a blank DVD. If using a USB Drive you will be then able to edit your footage using editing software. All USB Drives should be clearly labelled.
