“everything you can imagine is real. pablo picasso
To the reader: It could happen when you just go shopping. You see something; you stop; look at it; hold it in your hands. You do not feel like you are going to buy it, but it’s quite obvious, there is something in it - silly or funny; a small detail that attracts your attention to that particular object. Then, on your way home, you realise that picture of the well you were thinking about would be absolutely amazing if one could see a galaxy on the bottom of that well. Sometimes, a new creative urge comes a few hours later after finishing your hard work on the parallel worlds project. Your environment if filled up with mad ideas; the unique puzzle in your mind that was created by coincidence of series of moments and only was put together in order to create something new and awesome. We worked hard to find a lot of unique ideas and techniques. Some of them are just incredible paradoxes that surprise us more and more while we are looking closely at every single detail of this artwork. Illustrations, collages, and paintings made with silicone: all those creations take so much time to be made and even more time to spend gazing at. We encourage you to disassemble each piece, dive deep, and find your way in this spectacular maze of human being talent.

I’m a brazilian illustrator, born in minas gerais and based on santa catarina, itajai, currently. working for a fashion company, colcci, with t-shirt design. I master many techniques, but I am in love with watercolors for many years. I never defined my arts in a single thought, neither wanted to. my mood while making them often varies a lot, reflecting on the arts and making them different all times. but if I should make it short, I’d say it’s an attempt to approach all stages of life with perspectives that don’t belong and are not maculated by any specific common traits of these stages. hope you like my arts! for contact: orffyreus@gmail.com flickr.com/photos/tolagunestro

my works are not “painted in a traditional sense. rather, i let them grow over the course of many layers. although my paintings have a formal construction and are not intentional depictions of objects or phenomena of the external world, their construction relates loosely to the structure of minerals or crystals. this organization is most explicit on the edges of the paintings. through experimentation i discovered silicone as a painting medium. this material has a unique spectrum of qualities: a wide range in possible layer thickness, viscosities, glossiness, and transparency. when creating work, the process of applying materials is primary to me. generally, i do not plan the execution of my work further than one step ahead. the artwork emerges gradually in an interactive process. every development is analyzed, and the subsequent direction arises from the internal logic of the medium and the tools. lev khesin

this project is a fusion of russian and mexican artwork through ornately designed dia de los muertos-themed skulls. I did this to show how broad and different russian folk art could be in terms of influence and composition, as well as how it could work with different styles. here are gorodets, gzhel, north-dvina, zhostovo, mezen and khokhloma styles.

set name: firestarter originally shot in 2009 at a pirate-themed rave on a huge barge anchored in lake michigan. the experience was a welcomed celebration. everything from small cruise boats that took us out on the quiet urban channels from the city to the music and local fire-dancing group performing between dj sets was inspiring subject matter for my camera. when i noticed otherworldly patterns emerge from an experimentation with a photo, my curiosity evolved into one of my most expansive sets to date and it began and ongoing pursuit in kaleidoscopic alchemy.

Zhishi is represented by two people: Yuliya Lukyanchenko & Elena Kostirina. We are graphic designers and illustrators. We especially like to create an identity for a company, product or event. We love to draw, and we do this well. Our passion is to create funny fancy characters. Our illustrations can be divided into two styles: vector graphic and hand drawings. We have been working together for a long time and do not seek to expand, because we love what we do, and we want to do it ourselves, not manage others. Each time, having started a new project, we have some worries. However, when it is finished, our customer, and we are pleased with another successful outcome. Our works speak better than words. www.behance.net/zhishi
