Who We Are

THE

YU SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP

PASSION FOR JEWISH EDUCATION

We are professionals who bring our personal passion for Jewish education to work every day. As Oscar Wilde said, “It is what you read when you don’t have to, that determines what you will be when you can’t help it.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. We are immersed in the latest research, best practices, and proven methods to make sure that all of our children have the educational experience they deserve. The wheels in our minds are always turning to the mantra of what do we want to be true about Jewish education today and tomorrow?

dreamers & doers

architects of possibilities

We have experience that is as diverse as the schools we serve. In our past and current professional lives we have been teachers and school principals. Fundraisers and financial analysts. Marketing executives and lay leaders. Jewish day school parents and students. Employees and entrepreneurs. Dreamers and doers.

We are architects of possibilities. Our specialty is looking at what is and seeing what could be. We love taking a raw idea, building on it, and then chiseling away and polishing until we are left with something transformative that can yield significant change and improvements. Nothing thrills us more than going through that process with schools to define and implement opportunities to help them be better than they ever thought they could.

we believe in people and their capacity to grow, develop, and lead.

we believe in practicing first and then preaching, and then practicing some more.

we believe in preserving our childhood curiosity,

we believe in working backwards, always using the desired outcome as the starting point.

What We Do

in putting the box in another room when thinking outside of it, and infusing joyfulness into everything we do.

1] guide Through our consulting services, we provide roadmaps for Jewish day school leaders, teachers, and board members that enable them to identify effective and sustainable methods for getting where they want to go.

2] answer When schools have questions, we act as a search engine to find the answers from our staff or through our network of experts nationwide.

we believe that “listen” is the strongest verb there is.

3] connect and convene Our network is your network—and we make sure that school professionals are individually and collectively linked to one another.

4] educate we believe in replacing all “why’s” with “what if ’s”.

Using our ideas and yours, we design continuing education programs that are convenient and customizable. Whether school leaders want individualized coaching or school-wide online professional development, we will work together to achieve noticeable and measurable results.

5] design we believe that every school has a story that we want to hear.

We help school leaders and schools find each other and design educational teams that represent the school’s core values.

Special Thanks To Our Donors

“I have been one of the YU School Partnership’s best customers since it began. I can tell you firsthand, how much of the progress we’ve made at Hillel Torah and the speed with which we’ve been able to do it has been influenced by the YU School Partnership. In a very short period of time, you’ve made a serious impact on the field of American Jewish education - and the future of many children.”

BEEN GOING

We have been to hundreds of schools and observed countless classrooms. We have mentored, coached, assessed, researched, planned with, and convened thousands of educators around the world. We have sat in on board meetings, conducted in-service trainings, and gone through account books all for one purpose: to help schools be their best. We’ve consulted our way from Manhattan to Moscow, Chicago to Chile. We are backed by the intellectual capital of Yeshiva University and partner with the renowned experts at the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration on many of our consulting projects.

WE ARE

WE’VE

WHERE WHERE With the launch of YU Improve in 2014, we have expanded our capacity to support more schools and offer deeper and more customized levels of consulting services. We are traveling to schools to lead in-service days that will set a positive tone for the school year. We are venturing into back offices and uncovering ways schools can improve their bottom line. We are helping schools with open leadership positions find the perfect candidates for the job. We are joining forces with other Jewish day school networks to present an unforgettable Jewish day school conference. We are increasing our digital learning opportunities by upping the options for our online PD courses. If there is a school, leader, teacher, or board member that wants to grow in some way – we are there, and we are just getting started.
