For many people the very name Kyoto conjures up the classic image of Japan: streets of traditional wooden houses, the click-clack of geta (traditional wooden sandals) on the paving stones, geisha passing in a flourish of brightly coloured silks, and temple pagodas surrounded by cherry blossom trees. In November, its the perfect timing to see ‘Koyo’, the autumn leaves changing colour in Kyoto. Much like cherry blossom (sakura) time in April, in November thousands of people flock to the mountains and temples near Kyoto to look at the colours.

Golden Rock is one of the famous destination in Myanmar. Maybe even one of the most famous place of Buddhist pilgrimage in Asia. Kyaikhtiyo or golden Rock pagoda is located in the small town called Kyaikhto, in the Mon State. This destination is 160km away from Yangon. The pagoda is 1100km above sea-level. It is a 11 kilometer uphill climb for the hikers from Kinpun base camp. There is also a steep winding road for 4-wheel drive cars from the base to the nearest point of the pagodas. It is said that the boulder has been over 2500 years.

China Great Wall The Great Wall of China is one of the greatest sights in the world. The longest wall in the world, it is an awe-inspiring feat of ancient defensive architecture. Its winding path over rugged country and steep mountains takes insome great scenery. Just like a gigantic dragon, the Great Wall winds up and down across deserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus, stretching approximately 8,851.8 kilometers (5,500 miles) from east to west of China. With a history of more than 2000 years, some of the sections are now in ruins or have disappeared. However, it is still one of the most appealing attractions all around the world owing to its architectural grandeur and historical significance. The Great Wall is the building project with the longest duration and greatest cost in human lives, blood, sweat and tears.
Samoa To Sua Ocean For a more authentic island experience, Samoa is the untouched jewel in the South Pacific’s crown. When many travelers contemplate their holiday, images of Fiji, Vanuatu or Bali often spring to mind. But there’s one tropical hideaway that is regularly overlooked. Perhaps you’re wanting something further from the beaten track, somewhere a little more pristine? When you consider its clear, warm waters, sultry temperatures, waterfalls, dense tropical rainforest, coral reef and hospitable locals, the Polynesian islands of Samoa are a very attractive proposition indeed.
Japan Mount Fuji It is one of Honshu Island’s greatest prides. The symmetrical cone with a snow-capped top has become a symbol of Japan and is frequently depicted in Japanese art. It has become a favorite subject of Japanese literature too. Many poems have been dedicated to the glorious volcano. This volcano is dormant. The last time it erupted was in 1708. Ancient samurai used the base of the mountain to train. Nowadays, it is an international destination for mountain climbing. Mount Fuji stands on the border between Yamanashi and Shizuoka Prefectures and can be seen from Tokyo and Yokohama on clear days.
New Zealand Milford Sound Milford Sound is a world-renowned natural wonder. Nowhere else in Fiordland do the mountains stand so tall, straight out of the sea. Luxuriant rainforest clings to sheer rock walls and waterfalls tumble hundreds of metres to the sea below. Like the rest of Fiordland, Milford Sound receives a lot of rain. Indeed, some tour operators argue that the sound is best seen on a rainy day as all the waterfalls can be seen in their full glory. Many recommend seeing it during a sunny day and in the rain to see both worlds as they are both very different and amazing.

young back-packers right through to the superrich. Most people come to Bali for a ubiquitous one purpose, to escape from the hectic pace of everyday life that has permeated even the furthest flung corners of our planet. With all the family-friendly resorts in Bali competing for your attention, it’s refreshing to find an establishment that manages to rise above its neighbors by owning a nifty travel concept. For the sprawling Grand Mirage Resort in Tanjung Benoa, that idea is the “all-inclusive stay” a category that lets participating guests enjoy unlimited food and beverages, plus unlimited access to some of the resort’s activities. Grand Mirage Resort & Thalasso Bali is a 5 Star Bali Resort with a large white sandy beach right in front of the resort, set among beautifully landscaped tropical gardens. Rising like a vision from the Balinese sea, it is located on the
tip of Nusa Dua beach, in the village of Tanjung Benoa, Bali’s watersport center. All Inclusive program is perfect for your vacation. Imagine that: as an all-inclusive guest, you can raid the minibar as often as you like; but service only replace the minibar 1x time per day, you can have room service sent up any time, and you can drink as deeply of the hotel’s ample selection of entertainments as you desire. Within certain limits, of course. Guests can still opt for the basic breakfast-and-room package which, given the size of the property and the amenities they can enjoy in the Grand Mirage, turns out to offer great value for their Bali experience nonetheless. and feeling the truly tropical resort holiday. Cause Deluxe Ocean View Room is 4th floor, so you will seen the ocean just from balcony . The sea view isn’t exactly expansive – with hundreds of rooms facing the sea, the building design allots its balcony space sparingly – but you get enough for a nice waker-upper at dawn, as the sun rises right over the east-facing Tanjung Benoa Beach. The Thalasso Spa’s yoga teachers take advantage of the sunrise to hold their classes .
The Grand Mirage Resort’s Family- Friendly Activities
If you bring a child, do not forget to visit Bamboo Kid’s Club. Bamboo Kid’s Fun Club offer great fun and games indoors are complementing existing outdoor playground geared toward the children from the age 3 to 13 years. Fun filled activities will ensure the children have an equally memorable and enjoyable holiday as their times; it serves as a badge granting all-inclusive access to the restaurants, bars, and activity centers within the Grand Mirage Resort. The bracelet is designed to stay on even under water; we were only able to remove it by cutting it off with scissors, the day after we’d check-out. All the staff were fantastic, very polite and welcoming. Check-in was quick, in a private lounge. I thought it was great - when you are tired , hanging around reception waiting for a check-in is not the best thing!
Deluxe Ocean View Room
The resort building is a massive four-floor affair. F&B and entertainments are located o n the lower three floors. The whole building is held together by a giant atrium in the middle, where a statue of Rama and Sita stand at the very navel of the building on the ground floor. Two guest elevators at the atrium reach all four floors. We’ve stayed at Deluxe Ocean View Room.

The pool’s beachfront garden is dominated by the sizeable swimming pool at its very center. We play Billyard and Table Tennis for a while, thats so funny and of course you can join with another player for more exciting. To the left of the foyer, a passageway leads to a gym, a mahjong room, and a karaoke lounge.
Dining at the Grand Mirage Resort
Tired of the game, we walk to the beach. Tanjung Benoa Beach, where the Grand Mirage Resort is located, feels wide open to the Indian Ocean, and logically you’d expect the ocean swells here to be all but overwhelming. Fortunately, a long shallow undersea shelf tames the waves reaching the shoreline; the result is a beach that’s welcoming for casual swimmers and for motorized watersports further offshore.

The relatively calm waters are also no good for surfers. The backpacker crowd has left Tanjung Benoa to the more sedate honeymooning, family and mature travel markets. Good thing, too – resorts like the Grand Mirage have been given a wide berth to make the beach one of the most family-friendly areas in Bali. Time is running very fast. It’s time to having dinner. The good news with the all-inclusive package: the restaurants onsite make unlimited eating absolutely worth it. The restaurants onsite cater to a wide range of tastes; vegetarians and hardcore meat eaters go away happy. When we weren’t making use of the unlimited room service, we ate mostly at the Grand Café overlooking the pool, where breakfast buffet is served. The buffet selection manages to serve up something for just about everyone: scads of bacon for the committed carnivores, noodle dishes for Asian visitors, and bottomless coffee and tea, served by roaming waitstaff. The eggs counter, for some reason, always has a long line waiting for service. The Grand Café is open at all hours. Jukung Grill was our favorite evening haunt, a beachfront restaurant that served barbecued of the open-air environment. Jukung’s chargrilled beef tenderloin came as a thick slab of New Zealand beef served with mashed potatoes and a salad on the side, drizzled with a tasty pepper sauce. Behind the Jukung Grill, the Rama Stage theatrical area serves up both food and culture, with cultural performances taking place on the stage while a buffet-style service is set up on the far end of the area. Every 4 times a week Rama Stage offering guest different Entertainment and different dinner theme. Tonight is Fiesta Latina theme. Dishes is Spanish cuisine with Cabaret show. Other day is East Meets West Dine; dance under the stars, experience the unique taste when East meets with the West. Dishes in Rama Stage served by him self Executive Chef Matthew Wood. All-inclusive guests do not have unlimited access to the resort menu; prawn and lobster dishes are not included, and must be paid for separately if ordered. Night still long! You can drink some cocktail at Panorama Lounge. An elegant and relaxing ambience place, engendered by the musical ensemble, soft lighting and polished wooden floor. T
he perfect coral island- Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air- fringed with white sands and swaying palm trees, lay in the sparkling ocean just off the north-west coast of Lombok. Every year the Gilis attract tens of thousands of visitors from around the world for their pristine waters, great diving and snorkelling opportunities, and laid-back charm. The word Gili actually means “small island” and so these island have come to be known as “The Gilis” by travellers. The Gilis are Lombok’s most popular islands and are consistently rated as top SEA island destinations by travellers and travel publication. Although previously popular mainly with backpackers, the Gilis now attract a diverse range of visitors; serious diving enthusiasts, sun seekers looking for the perfect beach getaway, singles, families, and couple of all ages find something to attract them to the Gilis.
Getting to the Gilis
The Gilis are easily reached from Bali via the numerous fast boat services now operating between Bali and Gili Trawangan. Alternatively, you can fly to Lombok and travel accross to the Gilis. But with Lombok’s airport now based further away in central Lombok, the fast boat services are popular option, providing fast and easy transfers between Bali and Gili Trawangan. At about 9 o’clock in the morning we were in the Marina Srikandi and ready to head off for a weekend getaway in Gili Trawangan. The weather was sunny and bright. The fastboat took only 1,5 hours to the island and we arrived on a white sandy beach, ready for journey this little paradise.
Get around
As with all the Gilis, there is no motorized transport on Gili Trawangan, electricity is generator supplied and fresh water shipped in by boat. Trawangan rapidly developed a reputation as a “party island”, with no police around to watch what people were smoking or what sort of mushrooms went into the omelettes. In a rare display of foresight, all forms of motorized transport are banned from the islands: your only choice is horse-drawn carts, known as cidomo, which are used even to shuttle around diving gear. The price for visitors is Rp 20,000-30,000 per head for any trip, although it varies per island and per season. However, as the islands are only a few km in diameter, it’s entirely possible to just walk instead. The island itself is around 3 km long and 2 km wide, so walking is easy and you can cycle around the island in around 1 1/2 hours ( but will need to get off and push your bike through sandy sections on the west side). This is the only Gili to rise significantly above sea level and the hill in the south is a great lookout from which to enjoy the spectacular sunsets across the ocean to Bali; or in the mornings, the brilliant sunrise over Gunung Rinjani on mainland Lombok. So first day in Gili, We walked around the Island which I think takes about 2 hours, but we took our time and in the scenery , it was a pleasant 4 hours included a drink stop and dinner at Queen’s Coffee House-Queen Villa Resort & Spa.

Asian Retreat In a breezy location by the beach, Queen’s Coffee Shop offers an extensive menu comprising both local specialities and international favorites. We ordered Caesar Salad, cause i heard that Queen’s Caesar Salad is very unique . Firstly, I think caesar salad everywhere is same but here you can find the perfect combination indeed. That made of Romaine lettuce mixed with bacon, tomato, slice parmesan cheese and thats make special is with anchovy and soft-boiled eggs. Its the best caesar salad I have ever eat.
From the main menu I choose the Grilled Prawn Skewers, grilled Borneo Prawn served with black olive tomato salsa on the top - the combination is delicious , as are the accompanying grilled tomato and rusty potato. Now I know the reason why the dishes use Borneo Prawn. Borneo Prawn , because he come from Borneo actually and the taste is different , the flesh was soft and melt when put in the mouth. Perfect with little bit sour from the lemon and black olive tomato salsa. The Chef is very creative, you can see at the puncture grill shrimp made from lemongrass so didn’t damage the design and served with coloured sauce; green for paprica, red is tomato and black from black olive, it makes the appearance look beautifully and make mouth watering. We finish with Queeny Caramel, the drinking desserts, cappuccino and frappuccino powder on the top. The taste is like tiramisu but more lighter, so You’ll spend it in a heartbeat. Queen’s Coffee Shop is a perfect place for enjoy 5 stars dinner with reasonable prices. Open from breakfast till 9 o’clock in the night. Upon a sunset time, Queen’s Coffee House offer seafood barbeque to complited your sunset memory. Its the best places with the amazing sunset as Mount Agung in Bali as idyllic back drop combine with warm hospitality from the locals. Beside Queen’s Coffee Shop, Voodoo Bar & Lounge also offer a nice place located by the beach and perfect place to celebrate the diversity and energy of the pioneering human spirits and its constants search for exploration and adventure. If you feel so tired to walk again, we recommended to take some treatment at Queen’s Spa. Queen’s spa at Villa Queen Resort & Spa offers cozy treatment rooms, each with full spa facilities, outside terrace and lounge area for post-treatment relaxation. Stress and fatigue melt away during define pampering sessions, delivered by professionally trained therapists. Queen Villa Resort & Spa is the newest and only 5 stars resort in this little paradise. Where to Stay
Such is the appeal of the island, the south and west coasts are now dotted with small hotels, home-stays, private villas and a couple of larger resorts. Accomodations on Gili Trawangan ranges from basic home stays to luxury hotels and villas. The old style bungalows with woven bamboo walls and that ched roofs are slowly disappearing, to be replaced by simple cottages with western style bathrooms to suit the budget crowd. At the other end of the scale, boutique hotels and luxurious villas boast all the comforts of 5 stars resort, including designer furnishings, private swimming pools or Jacuzzis, WiFi , satellite TV and DVD. We stay at 3 stars Villa Grasia Resort & Spa. Hotel’s set a little in from the main centre of Gili Trawangan - which is great if you want to avoid the noise and chaos. It’s only 20-30 mins walking to the centre and 5 mins by those horse cart. Hotel gives you bicycles for free to use. The resort staff were so welcoming, probably the nicest welcome we’ve received and insisted we just relax! The place is gorgeous, totally picturesque, with the blue crystal clear water and palm tree’s. Our first impressions of Gili Trawangan were amazing and the warm welcome we received from the staff at Villa Grasia made it all the better. The Villas were very spacious and cleaned very well. They also turned down your bed in the early evening. We loved the beach out the front even though it wasn’t very deep it was nice to skim along and have a bit of a snorkel. A little further out it dropped off and it was quiet deep. There were plenty of lounges to lie on and plenty of shade if needed. The pool was refreshing as well. It was nice to sit up by the water with the sand between our toes for brekkie each morning. I found the menu adequate, but I’m not a big brekkie eater. They have high tea between 3 and 4 and provide free coffee, tea and cakes or biscuits. Happy hour 5 to 7 buy 1 cocktail get 1 free was great and you also receive bonus a bowl of popcorn. The sunsets are spectacular looking back towards Bali with Gunung Agung ( volcano ) as a back drop. The staff were very friendly and chatty and were always up for a card trick or a bit of a jam on the beach later on in the night. I highly recommend Villa Grasia if you would prefer to stay away from the noisiness of the central part of Gili Trawangan.
What to do
Gili Trawangan is perfect place to diving, snorkeling. There is reasonably good diving here, and the islands are globally known as a teaching center. An impressive array of sea creatures and plant life is to be seen, such as green and hawksbill turtles, manta rays (rarely), bumphead parrotfish, black-tip and white-tip reef sharks, and more. Visibility is commonly in the 15-30 m range. However, due to the exposed position of the Gilis, currents can be quite strong and drift diving is the norm. Gili Trawangan has the most dive operators, but PADI and SSI licensed dive operators exist on all three islands. Equipment is kept in top shape,

with excellent facilities and (mostly) western dive instructors. Divemasters are more commonly experienced locals. Dive and course prices are fixed by agreement between the dive operators on each island, so there is nothing financial to be gained by shopping around between the operators. A good approach is to settle down on your chosen island, get to know the dive shops, and chose to dive with the one with which you feel most comfortable. For those interested in learning to dive or advancing existing qualifications, several of the operators now offer both PADI and SSI options. Nitrox and other technical diving options are also offered by operators on Gili Trawangan especially. One of the attractions of the islands is the ability to do nothing. The styles of cafes and restaurants involves small open huts perfect for two to four people to claim for a good part of the day. With a good book and your swimsuit, the day passes quickly when you leave your watch in your bag.

he wilderness hideaway of Amanwana (peaceful forest) is the only resort on the Indonesian island of Moyo, a nature and marine reserve 15 kilometres off the coast of Sumbawa, east of Bali. Surrounded by the turquoise waters and untouched reefs of the Flores Sea, the island is 350 square kilometres with vegetation ranging from savannah to tropical jungle. It is blessed with a variety of animal and bird life, from deer to wild boar, macaque monkeys, sea eagles and osprey.
The tents are not walled off from the rest of the island, which is also a protected deer sanctuary for the indigenous Rusa Deer. Amanwana’s deer breeding programme has ensured the steady increase in numbers of these shy creatures which can be spotted in the reserve.
Tucked away beneath the canopy of tropical forest, Amanwana offers 20 tents linked by sand pathways. Amanwana’s tents (ocean-front or jungle) are elegantlyproportioned 58-square metre living spaces with solid wall foundations roofed by soaring waterproof exteriors and interior ceilings of canvas. Each tent is airconditioned, with hard wood flooring, a king-sized bed draped in flowing mosquito netting and a ceiling fan. Large banks of windows let in light and look out on jungle or beach settings.
Surrounded by pristine reefs and situated on one of Indonesia’s most beautiful islands, Amanwana is a wilderness hideaway at one with nature.
Overlooking Amanwana Bay, the Boardwalk is furnished with sunloungers and shade umbrellas. A fresh water dipping pool is set against a wall of coral rock nearby, and a shower is set into the cliff face.

first came to Bali on a trip but decided to stay instead. The reason of my staying is I fell in love with the island and the urge to discover its treasure has been a motivation for me to experience what the island has offered. Spa is one of such . Karma Spa & Wellness that is located in Karma Kandara Resort occupies a spectacular cliff top high above the Indian Ocean at the farthest extremes of an elevated limestone peninsula at Bali’s southern most tip. Blessed with the most exhilarating views, Karma Spa & Wellness is suspended on rocky outcrops 85 metres above the surf. I arrived at 11 am and approached by buggy driver whom gave me ride to the spa location. Greeted with her warm smile, Sari my therapist served a fresh cold towel and welcome drink as well as fresh fruit. While seated, I could embrace the serene. The sea breeze swept my hair and the sound of ocean lingered. Bridge and stone walkways and little paths meander through vivid tropical garden. Sari, my therapist guided me through the Karma Spa Treatment menu and request about type of strength needed during the massage. When I entered the spa treatment room I was astonished and in awe. An open ocean and sky, 180 degrees of blue on blue brilliance is right before me, the sound of wave was heard, and gentle sea breeze was blowing the white curtain. beds swayed in rhythm while songs of nature played. Peered down, lush greenery spread down the cliff reached the shore. I disrobed and lay face down and closed by eyes and started to relax. The fragrance of aroma therapy filled the air . I opted to have the window wide open and felt the sea breeze blow and heard the sound of the ocean. I was deeply lost in nature. With each firm stroke, my therapist using fingers, palms or elbows, pressure was applied along the energy and acu - points of the body. The smooth and rhythmic application of the techniques was aided by virgin coconut oil. Pressure on reflex points on the feet and hand were done, restoring the balance within my body. The Rejuvenate Oxygen Facial followed and I spent another 60 minutes experiencing this facial treatment.
The revolutionary Intraceuticals Oxygent Infusion Facial that delivered therapeutic grade oxygen along with rejuvenating serum made from hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, vitamin A, E and C. Bumboat is available in Changi Jetty. The transport to the island operate daily from morning to evening. Admission to the island is free. There are several rental bicycles kiosks where you can rent bicycles for hours or a day. If you choose to cycle on small footpath in rather secluded area please be careful as road can be slippery and uneven. A long the road you may find small vendor that sell beverage and fresh coconut drink. Seasoned fruit such as durian, rambutan, papaya mango and mangosteen are available sometimes. Visitors that often purposely come to Pulau Ubin for sea food as lunch and dinner, found that the restaurant use only fresh catch of fish, prawn, squid and crab.
Getting Pulau Ubin My advice is to take the MRT.. Drop off at Tanah Merah MRT station and then take bus number 2.. It will stop at Changi Village.. Fom there ask around and proceed to take a bum boat to Pulau Ubin.. But i think there is a quota of people that is needed to fill up the boat first before it will depart.. Not sure how many though..
Tips for visitor : • When cycling please use protective gear, ensure your bicycle is in good working condition before setting off. Use only designated roads and tracks and keep to the left in a single file. • Heed all warning sign. • Don’t swim in areas not designated for swimming. Quarries and sluice gates are particularly treacherous places. • Don’t leave valuable unattended. • Water from public toilets and wells are not suitable for drinking or bathing. • Campers have to report themselves to register with Ubin police post to get the latest safety briefing. Proper preparation always makes for a more enjoyable trip.

Repeat this process two or three times during the cooking to make sure the chicken cooks inside as well as outside. After 30 minutes, turn on the heat to bring the water back to almost boiling point, then turn heat off.
