Course Description This course trains students on the physical object based GUI of ETABS, it enables the students to find the solution whether designing a 2D frame or performing a dynamic analysis of a complex high-rise that utilizes non-linear dampers for inter-story drift control.
Prerequisites Engineers/Consultants with or without prior experience.
The ETABS System build around a physical object GUI, powered by targeted new special purpose algorithms for analysis and design, with interfaces for drafting and manufacturing, is redefining standards of integration, productivity and technical innovation.
Learning Objectives:
Successful completion of the course will provide students with the ability to develop portal frames, braced frames, staggered truss system, frames with reduced beam section or side plates. Students will learn how to use the ETABS GUI interface & mesh the geometry to design the rigid and flexible floors, ramps and parking structures, mezannine floors, multiple tower buildings and stepped diaphragm systems with complex concrete, composite or steel joist floor framing systems. Students will be able to solve complex problems related to panel zone deformations,diaphragm shear stresses, and construction shear loading.
