Call for a consultant on HIV treatment cascade analysis
BACKGROUND Stronger Together, Association for Support of People Living with HIV from Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, is a community-based organization that works for strengthening of people living with HIV as equal members of society, for the protection of their dignity and respecting their health and human rights. In particular, it works for ensuring continuous access to contemporary antiretroviral therapy and comprehensive treatment of the HIV infection, and of conditions associated or not associated with HIV, in accordance with the most recent scientific development. Stronger Together participates in the Global Fund supported regional program ‘Right to Health’, implemented by the Eurasian Coalition on Male Health (ECOM), with the goal to contribute to an increased uptake and retention across the continuum of HIV care for MSM and trans* people in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. In consortium with the association EGAL – Equality for Gays and Lesbians and STAR - Association for Support of Marginalized Workers, Stronger Together is implementing the national component of the Right to Health Program for Macedonia. Under the broad objective of contributing to an increased MSM and trans* community participation in decision-making in the national HIV responses, Stronger Together and the consortium are conducting community-based monitoring using an HIV service cascade analysis tool. Within this activity a team of national experts and community activists will perform the analyses and calculations in order to develop the service cascade regarding men who have sex with men in Macedonia, including an estimation of the total number of people living with HIV based on clinical and epidemiological data.
