Architecture Portfolio 2.0

Hi, I’m Zahra Rima Putri Welcome to my portfolio.

I’m a 22-year-old fresh graduate architect seeking to learn about real project management at architecture firm and wanting to expand my experience in terms of designing an architectural project with real design boundaries. I was born and raised in Semarang, Indonesia, but graduated in a university in Surakarta, a rich culture small city in Central Java. Most of my architecture knowledge and experience throughout my study was gained in Surakarta. During my journey in architecture, I had the opportunity to collaborate with an architecture firm located in Jakarta. This experience helps me to understand workflow and get used to deadline-driven environments. This also makes me better at problem solving and teamwork. My design mostly concerns with human-nature relations and creating a healthy relationship between the nature-given source, human health & comfort, also a space that correlates them. I’m glad to share with you several of my works.

Rumah Medan project is one of the architectural design proj-

ects by Studio ArsitektropiS. The owner had a previous schematic design for their house and wanted a re-do. The room requirements are still the same as the previous one but the owner wanted a change in terms of facade design and the use of existing windows that they had from their current house. There are about 25 windows that need to be adjusted maximally into the new design. In terms of facade design, they wanted an old American farmhouse style, and we implement it in the form of roof style and material. As the main principle in tropical house design, we also improve the lighting and wind flow into each room.

Rumah Ilir is one of the modular and growing house series

designed by Studio ArsitektropiS. This is a prototype design that people can buy from a website and built on their existing land (design adjustment may occur). Rumah Ilir is a two-story house that consists of 3 spatial plot arrangements based on their activities; assembly area and service area on the ground floor, rest area on the top floor. The budget of this house differentiated into 3 categories based on the use of the material. The modular concept is applied to the use of prefabricated walls consisting of 6 sizes. This house also carries a tropical concept that is applied to the large window openings and a wide sloping roof to create a bright yet shady atmosphere inside the house.

CO-SHELTER (Bus Shelter) Location : Surakarta Year : 2020 Competition Project by ARCASIA Category : Public Facilities Collaborator :

The design exercise for this bus shelter project is to propose

a type design to replace/construct all the bus shelters best identical and suitable for participant chosen city, in this case Surakarta. Surakarta is best known for batik centre because of the Kampong of Batik called “Kampung Laweyan”. We decided to put batik as our main aesthetic in Co-Shelter. Architectural Concept : Gathering transportation function with community and economic function. We insert community function as mini library and economic function as food stall. This helps children around community have better access to books and people to have space to make profit. Technical Concept : We have four different stages of usage in a bus shelter to match different size of pedestrian sidewalk. CO-SHELTER consists of three module. Bus shelter module, ramp access module, and stairs module. It use fabricated system to be adjustable in site.

Yogyakarta is one of the cities with the highest rates of

mental disorders in Indonesia. High levels of stress due to the busy metropolitan life, the high expectancy of students, and post-earthquake trauma create an increasing number of people with mental disorders in Yogyakarta. The existing mental hospital is not adequate in terms of the number of rooms and the quality of the building design who has not prioritized the value of healing through a natural approach.

Psychiatric Hospital with a Therapeutic Landscape design

approach focusing on building and landscape design which has the power to heal and cause a psychological relaxation effect so that it will help the recovery of the mental illness patient.

Therapeutic Landscape Design focuses on natural aspects

of healing. Therapy is implemented in the form of design by maximizing positive distraction on human senses through nature.
