So Many Affiliate Programs! Which One Do I Choose? Ask questions first before you join an affiliate program. Do a little research about the choices of program that you intend to join into. Get some answers because they will be the deciding point of what you will be achieving later on. Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate programs being offered today are absolutely free of charge. So why settle for those that charge you some dollars before joining. When do they issue the commission checks? Every program is different. Some issue their checks once a month, every quarter, etc. Select the one that is suited to your payment time choice. Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued. What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This factor is extremely important because this will tell you how much traffic you must generate before you can earn a commission from the sale. How are referrals from an affiliate’s site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system? You need to be confident on the program enough to track those people you refer from your site. This is the only way that you can credit for a sale. The period of time that those people stay in the system is also important. This is because some visitors do not buy initially but may want to return later to make the purchase. Know if you will still get credit for the sale if it is done some months from a certain day. This is the simple reason why you should collect the contact information of those who downloaded your reports and ebooks. You can make follow-ups on these contacts to remind them to make a purchase from you. Get the contact information of a prospect before sending them to the vendor’s website. Keep in mind that you are providing free advertisement for the product owners. You get paid only when you make a sale. If you send prospects directly to the vendors, chances are they would be lost to you forever. But when you get their names, you can always send other marketing messages to them to be able to earn an ongoing commission instead of a one-time sale only. Publish an online newsletter or Ezine. It is always best to recommend a product to someone you know than to sell to a stranger. This is the purpose behind publishing your own newsletter. 7 Quick Tips For Online Business 1. Honesty is the key. Transparency too. Just think about that: would you buy from someone who is dishonest? Or from someone who is not transparent about his or her business? I’m ready to bet that you would think more than twice before you buy something from such a person or business. If your customer needs to think twice before he or she buys, you already lost that buyer. Therefore, always be honest with your visitors and customers, and do your best to make your online business as transparent as possible. There is lot of competition out there – people have no needs to deal with dishonest people and businesses that are not completely transparent.
2. Whatever you do online – build your list! You can have thousands of websites online and all of them can make you money, but websites are not your most valuable online asset. Your mailing list is. Your mailing list of targeted subscribers interested in your offer is only push-button traffic course and money-on-demand service you will ever have. When you have a list you can actually make money any time you wish. That’s why you should always build your list, in any way possible – except spammy and illegal methods.
3. Don’t forget about social networks. Social networks are huge these days and you can’t afford yourself not to use them in order to generate traffic, subscribers, online presence and buyers. Facebook is close to one billion members, Twitter have couple hundred thousands of members, Google+ too, LinkedIn is bigger every day and Pinterest is currently the most popular social network – use those resources. People love social networks and they are using them on daily basis. That’s your best source of highly targeted traffic and potential buyers. Also, don’t forget that Google loves social signals too, which means your websites can get better positions on rankings pages on search engines if you incorporate social media marketing in your online business. It’s worth of your effort – that’s for sure!

4. Build a real, rock solid and long term business. Don’t try to become rich quick because that will lead you nowhere. Your goal for your online business shouldn’t be to last couple of days, weeks or months. Give your best to connect with your visitors and customers in order to build rock solid, long term business that will be able to earn you money for years to come. If you do it correctly, online business has every potential to supply you with regular monthly income without need for you to work hard for 8, 10 or 12 hours per day. But you have to do it correctly from start.
5. Overdeliver. Always. One pretty good way to connect with your customers, increase their trust in your and your business, to build your reputation and secure your customer for life is to overdeliver – always! Don’t hold anything back from your customers and don’t ask money for everything you have to offer. Give them something for free – people will like that because people love to get something for free and to have a feeling of making a great deal for them. At least give them some discount because they will like it too – more bang for their hard earned buck. Even if you are an affiliate, create your profit funnels with your customers on the first place. Recommend them some product but give them an extra bonus if they decide to buy.
6. Connect with your customers. Your main goal should be to connect with your customers so they get a feeling they can trust you. When you achieve that, it will be easier for you to make money off of them. Also, customers you are connected with will be more than willing to spread a word about your business, recommend you to their friends and give you support whenever you need it.
7. Show that you care. That’s another aspect of connecting with your customers. You have to show them that your business is not only about the money, even if it is – keep that information for yourself and give your best for your customer. That’s the only way to build a solid, long term business and give yourself

If you don’t care about your customers, they have plenty places online to go to and spend their money at.
