Abstract This project mainly student are learning and practicing Cloud Compare and LiDAR to analyze and study the environmental characteristics of the site and the changes in urban terrain. We had perform manipulating, segmenting, simulating and colouring the point cloud model(s) on the model downloaded from LiDAR in Cloud Compare. We can discover the interesting structure of the site and various environmental knowledge. This booklet will introduce combine the site's own conditions and model data to specifically analyze the impact and changes of the site.

Introduction The earth’s topography is diverse and complex. In most cases, the topography determine the scope of human life. Most humans choose to live in plains and places with sufficient water sources. I chose an site of West Lakes in Adelaide. The lakes are seawater flowing into the inland and then forming the Port Adelaide River, gradually forming the West Lakes. The West Lakes surround the irregular delfin island. West lakes is closely related to the life of the surrounding residents, so does the life of the residents threaten the natural survival of the west lakes?
