Begin with (6) 4x4 pressure treated wood posts approximately 3’ 1-1/4” long.
Add (8) 2x4 pressure tr longeated wood support beams, approximately 1’ 13/16” long.
Add plywood bottom, cut to fit around 4x4 posts and with several drilled 1/2” weep holes.
Attach (12) 1” x 6” x 8’Trex boards to long sides and (12) 1” x 6” x 2’ Trex boards to the short sides, spaced 1/4” of an inch apart.
Top with (2) 1” x 3” x 8’ and (2) 1” x 3” x 2’ Trex boards, cut at a 45-degree angles at the ends. (Pieces created from cutting boards lengthwise down the middle) Finish by lining and stapling the sides and bottom with weed fabric. Fill with potting soil.

The berm sits in the upper right corner of the frontyard, to the north east. It is composed of about 19 cubic feet of soil and sits 15” high at its apex and is 4’ at its widest point, sloping gently along its sides. This sets up the focal point of the design.
