Located off the Calgary ring road and adjacent to the planned southeast LRT line extension, the development is a highly accessible regional retail hub . Designed as an intimate and unique collection of buildings, the massing and aesthetics seamlessly mesh with the village context .

Safe Pedestrian/Vehicular Integration
Our retail developments carefully consider pedestrian and vehicular circulation and how they work together. Safe and convenient movement through the site is prioritized by enhancing the experience of the pedestrian.
Cityscape Square features contemporary architecture in a modified courtyard scheme . Buildings contain 360-degree frontages to support the dual environment of the external streets and internal tenant access . A landscaped plaza at the site’s northeast corner provides a destination for socializing, and pedestrian pathways link each building .
Open spaces and walking pathways support ease of access into the various components of the development while animating the site as a street-like village.
Wide sidewalks, a breezeway, and arcades provide safe circulation for pedestrians while balancing parking efficiency . Pedestrian pathways within Cooper’s Landing Promenade link the gathering nodes to the mix of retail, which extends beyond the development connecting to over 6 .5km of trails .
The impact of parking on the quality of the built environment is diminished due to pedestrian amenities, landscaping, and treating the development as an important public place.
Aspen Landing evokes a pedestrian village ambiance with low-rise buildings that intertwine with public spaces along a central corridor . Curbless streets with varying paving materials signify and balance safe pedestrian and vehicular flow .
Integrated Landscaping
We work with the natural systems and topography of each site, creating dynamic building designs and siting that respond to contextual conditions, including solar orientation, wind direction, view corridors, and building and open space frontages.
Sage Hill Quarter uses slope adaptive techniques to minimize terrain impact . Streets, buildings, and parking are embedded into the existing topography, which retains the steep 60-foot slope . Sensitivity to the site conditions resulted in a reduction of materials, waste and overall environmental disturbance . A catchment pond manages stormwater and acts as a community landscape feature . Grading further minimizes water run-off and the infiltration of pollutants .
Bordered by a hillside and a naturalized stormwater pond, Aspen Landing’s landscaping and streetscape design are critical to its vision . Pathways with soft landscaping and inviting furnishings lead pedestrians through the site to plazas, providing scenic areas to stop and gather

The low-impact development of Eagle Landing works with the natural systems of the site . Vegetated bioswales are stitched into the landscape and an elevated boardwalk floats above a verdant rain garden, purifying stormwater from falling on the site .

Eagle Landing reinforces key Tsuut’ina values of connecting to the land, culture, and community . Designed as a pedestrian-focused destination, the public realm is celebrated with four-season public nodes, adaptive parking for communal events, and a lively main street . Traditional colours, reminiscent of Tsuut’ina beadwork, are expressed within the façades evoking the Nation’s distinct culture .
East Hills is a full-service shopping district containing anchor retail tenants organized by a central corridor . With two primary entry points, the site is supported by welcoming plazas and a regional transit pathway that connects to adjacent communities .
Permeability into and throughout the site permits accessibility and ease of movement. Pathways connect to transit lines at primary entry points, supported by welcoming pedestrian plazas and landscaping features.
The West 85th development combines retail and commercial office designed in a contemporary style . A mix of materials and colours pairs well with surrounding residential, creating an aesthetically pleasing and seamless local suburban village . The development features a defining pedestrian plaza entrance with strong urban design elements .
The architectural character respects existing scale and aesthetics, creating a continuity that reinforces a sense of place.
Keeping true to the village aesthetic, Chemanius Village Square recalls historic building forms erected to serve the island’s early industrial ventures . Metal buildings with heavy timber roofs reflect the town’s local charm .
