WEEK

DESIGNS

This was a project where the image of 5 famous buildings in China and America were converted into designs of sticker style. Vivid colors and the style used in this design give those buildings a different, fresh look.

Name tag Design

This name logo design assignment was a great opportunity for me to create new self-identity logos for myself. The three logos have their own styles and were all taken by a different design approach.

Superhero Movie Poster

Created by Adobe Illustrator, this poster combined raster images with vector drawings. The arrow head is the main graphic focus point of the entire canvas. The shatters from the text of the movie create more attention for the viewer.

Travel Poster

Through the altering and editing images in Photoshop, special effects were made possible in this poster design: the letters seem to be sticking out from the grass naturally, the map of Iceland is combined with the texture of northern lights to give the viewer an impression of this exotic arctic island.

Composite Images

Three different images are combined in this work. The building on the bottom is Harvard Law School in Boston, MA. The Building facing it up side down on top is part of Lincoln Center in New York City. While the dots and light traces on the background are from one of my New York City night views photo project.

Self-Narration Image

The two city skylines facing against each other on the background represent where I am from and where I am living now. Then I added the image of my passport as a texture on the foreground to reveal my identities. The portraits of myself repeated three times throughout the picture, and a plane flying across shows that as a global citizen, I travel back and forth a lot between countries and cities.

OLLECTIONS

Shanghai Transit Designs As an Adobe illustrator self-practice project, I turned some transport tools that you will see in Shanghai into simplified versions of icons. Putting them together was quite fun and making me missing this soaring city which is developing its public transport facilities rapidly.
