In order to successfully complete this project, a significant amount of effort was invested in creating a design that fulfills the requirements of not only the client but also the community, while also seamlessly blending in with the surrounding environment. The building's massing was thoughtfully considered to make room for various functions, and the distinct zones are readily discernible within the overall structure. The voids throughout the massing were deliberately incorporated to ensure unobstructed views and easy navigation throughout the building.

This mass will connect the other two masses and will act as a bridge. Also it will work as a frame to create view.

On a beautiful autumn day, a group of architecture students from Miami University attended a "Crosstraining workshop: Designing Curious Methods" at Houston Woods, Ohio. The goal was to learn new techniques and languages to analyze and interpret a site, with the guidance of Sean Burkholder, Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania, and Jeff Kruth, Assistant Professor of Architecture and Urban Design at Miami University

As a student and now a professional, I've come to realize that it's not just impor tant to view a site from above, but also to experience it from within. Looking up at the sky and observing the site's interaction with its surroundings is just as crucial. For a workshop, I came up with the idea of tracing the horizon using brass wires in different spots of the Houston Woods trails and documenting it. Though experimental, this exercise provided me with an insightful experience. I noticed how the bends and curves of the wire changed based on the natural and man-made elements in the landscape. Our faculty members, including Sean, were impressed and even expressed interest in using this method in their classes.

In addition to the constructional aspects, we also took into account the social and economic factors and aimed to present a solution that revitalizes the existing urban area.

Our concept involved creating a visual and social connection between two buildings. To achieve this, we split the existing building, rotated the middle part, and turned them into corner wings.

As the pandemic continues to spread across the world, social distancing has become crucial. Physical distancing seems to be the only solution to control the spread of this disease. However, this raises the question of what will happen to our social spaces in the future when people are being discouraged from being a part of such spaces. How can people be physically separated when the nature of social spaces demands integrated activity between people? To solve this problem, we need to create spaces where people are not required to leave their safety radius, and can still move around freely.

"Healing" refers to the process of recovering physically, mentally, or spiritually. Healing through architecture involves designing buildings that help people heal by using architectural elements such as form, space, light, materials, and enclosure.

In modern times, people experience a lot of physical and mental stress in their pursuit of progress. Therefore, people need a healing space where they can relax and rejuvenate themselves at the end of the day and prepare for the challenges of the next day.

Our goal is to create a series of spaces that help people heal their bodies and minds. Our design can be applied in any populated urban context, situated on the way home for anyone who needs physical and mental healing. We focus on the condition of daily recovery and imagined our design as a "Path that Heals" that offers people a transition space to heal themselves daily.
