Q What made you want to open The Island?

A I used to work as a freelancer instructor in multiple studios around London. I had lived in Fish Island, Hackney Wick, for four years, and I noticed a great sense of community. I started to imagine that a Reformer Pilates studio would be a great addition to the neighbourhood. A place where people can not only come for a workout but also to meet each other and share a class together.

A Every person is di erent. I encourage them to go one step at a time, I try to understand their needs, their goals, if they have injuries or not, and we build up from there, slowly adding more challenging exercises.
