ECONOMIC IMPLICATIONS OF DECISIONS Comparing other materials, concrete is much cheaper than bricks, and it mostly uses for floor. Moreover, it is easy to shaped and can do it in site, so the cost of the transportation of material can be neglected.

CONSTRUCTING ENVIRONMENTS SEMESTER 2 2013 WEEK 9 JOURNAL IN DETAIL (PART TWO) NAME: ZEYU LI (VICKY) STUDENT NUMBER: 634091 SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS (CARBON FOOTPRINT, EMBODIED ENERGY AND RECYCLABILITY) These plan indicates that it uses concrete, bricks, metal materials such as steel and plastic sheet. All these materials are artificial work, which can not produce by nature, therefore, their embodied energy are large. In addition, bricks, metal and plastic materials can not produced in site, they have to transport from factory which will cost carbon dioxide and other green house gases. Moreover, concrete and plastic materials can not be recycled, they are kind of unrenewable materials. WHERE AND WHY THINGS GO WRONG (E.G. CRACKS, LEAKS, GAPS)
