This class helps you identify and deliver different styles of commercial VO: Taglines, Retail, Spokesperson, Real Person and more. You’ll learn how to determine the style, how to adjust your timing, rhythm, and energy to match the script, and how to showcase your newfound skill and knowledge.

If you love to read aloud, try this class with an actor/casting director and enter the world of narration. You’ll identify phrasing, how to connect with the audience, and choices needed to perform successfully.

Acting is doing, and making the voice active is key to great voice over. In this class, you’ll work on text in an active approach, discover what your motivation is, break scenes down into beats, find conflict, and imbue your copy with meaning and subtext.

Improv is a great skill to have in your tool kit. It helps you feel calm, capable and directable. Need to make a character happen ASAP? Perform a new take on a script you’ve already made choices on? Want less nerves during a session? This class will definitely elevate your professional voiceover skills. While we’ll be making connections on how this will help your acting work and life, this is also a great class for anyone wanting to try out Improv. 6 Week Class Daytime • 10am – 1pm You’ve completed the 10-week Daytime Conservatory and want to continue your studies. The first 3 weeks are technique based. Then it’s into the studio to read a lot of scripts to get you ready to compete for jobs and auditions. (Prerequisite: Daytime Conservatory, Core Curriculum, or work experience)
