Everything has changed. Why do I say that you ask? Because after 11 years of being completely devoted to Taylor, something magical happened. I met her, you guys. I ACTUALLY MET HER. WHAT?! :) :) :) Without getting to much into it, I just want to first say thank you to Taylor and Taylor Nation for making it all possible. You are beyond wonderful! There is a full on story in this issue if you are interested to hear more. :) Along with that, there are some other wonderful sections in this December issue! There are beautiful photos from Taylor’s performances at Jingle
Ball, Poptopia,Jingle Bash and Jingle Bell Ball! It has been so amazing seeing photos of Taylor performing again. It really gets me even more excited for the tour! Speaking of the tour, I hope many of you got tickets to the show! Maybe we can get a list together of Swifties who are attending each concert so we can have a meet up. :) What else is part of this issue? Well, there is a major section about the Pop Up Shop that was in NYC. Lots of photos of the shop itself along with the awesome merch that was being sold there! SO MUCH TO SEE!
Oh, also we take a look into the Rep Celebration that was put on in NYC as well. Taylor herself was there and the event was sponsored by DirecTV and AT&T! Beautiful decor, delicious food, behind the scenes videos of Taylor, and more! :) Something sad happened since November within the Swiftie world. A website many of us used to use constantly for our Taylor news, keeping up with friends and making new friends who also loved Taylor has been shut down. This site was known as Taylor Connect. There is a whole section dedicated to remembering the
wonderful times many of us shared on the site. I had made so many great friends that I am thankful for! I am glad we still keep in touch on other social media. But, it’s all because of Taylor & Taylor Connect that we met in the first place. Hope you all enjoy this issue!

social media Taylor Met Lucky Fans in Target When She Went to Buy Her Album During Release Week! Taylor posted a fantastic Instagram story of her journey to Target to pick up her album during release week on November 14th in Nashville. She surprised anyone there and took several photos with fans and documented the experience all on her Instagram story. IT WAS SO ADORABLE!
I love the fact that Taylor takes the time to just stop by Target, walk around, meet fans and hang out. She is seriously such a great person and truly is trying so hard to meet each and every one of us this era. BLESS YOU, TAYLOR!

pop up shop NYC Was Not Ready For It! tanya ohnmeiss

Something beautiful popped up in New York City on Sunday, November 12th. The official Taylor Swift Reputation Pop Up Shop by DirecTV and AT&T! The location of the shop was 11 Fulton Street at the corner of Front & Fulton. The shop stuck around from the 12th until the 16th. When arriving at the shop, there were line separators put up in order to keep an organized line of many people anxiously wanting to get inside. They only allowed a certain amount of people inside the shop at a time. The shop was not very large and they did not want it to get overcrowded. During the first day of the shop, I heard that some fans got there at 3 am and slept outside the door to be the first in line! The store did not open up until 11 am. That’s dedication! Inside the shop you could find merchandise, various Taylor decor, Taylor’s Queen of Snakes thrown from the “Look What You Made Me Do” music video, and the phone Taylor uses in the music video as well. The mannequin displays all
had the white cat masks that were shown in the video as well! SO CUTE! Many of her outfits were displayed from the music video which were very cool to see in person. You could take as many photos as you wanted and spend as much time as you wanted inside as well. On the opening night, Taylor herself made a surprise appearance! She met some fans in line as well as inside the shop. She took selfies with those in
line but took group photos by the throne inside the shop. I could only imagine the excitement that was going on for fans when she showed up! She is such a lovely person to do something like that for us! She is always looking out for ways to make us feel special and important to her. Truly a blessing in our lives! Although the shop has left from New York, there are plans for the shop to appear in Los Angeles next from December 12th-16th!
So, any fans who are in the area should definitely check it out! It will be worth the visit and the wait in line! I personally waited 1.5 hours in line before I got inside, but it was SO BEAUTIFUL. I did not want to leave! AT&T has posted that “NYC was OMG, but for LA we’re going even bigger, with new photo ops, unique displays, and more WOW.” Very excited to see the photos from this shop! :)

On Monday, November 13th a magical event was hosted by DirecTV, AT&T and of course, Taylor! This event took place in New York City roughly around 8 pm. I have an exclusive, first person point of view of the event since I was very lucky and thankful to attend! I had received a direct message from Taylor Nation on Twitter telling me that they noticed how big of a fan I was and wanted to invite me to a secret Taylor event. I gave them my information, which was then followed up by an official email invitation to the event. I was not told what the event would be, what would be there, who would be there, where it would be, nothing! All I knew was that it was meant to be a celebration with fans for the new album “reputation.” I was told that I would be given more details the night before the event and that I would have to keep this whole thing a secret, which, of course, I did just that. I had to pay for any travel and lodging expenses for my trip to the city. I flew in to JFK airport on Sunday around 10 am. I brought my mom as my guest since we were allowed to bring someone along for the party. I took my mom because her and I have had many Taylor adventures in the past. Her and I have gone to 5 Taylor concerts in the past and we both love her so much that I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to go with me, honestly. She’s my best friend and I trusted her to keep this a secret and she did. I am very thankful to ZINE THIRTEEN ISSUE 05 december 2017

have such a supportive mom in my life. Especially for all the Taylor things that come up. Early that afternoon, I was emailed by AT&T to confirm that I was still attending the event, which I was. They provided the meeting location and also time that I would have to be there by. People were not allowed to come any earlier than their time because it was staggered out in groups of meeting times. Mine was for 6 pm on the event night. Once the event night came, my mom and I got to the area a little early and just hung around until it was our time to line up. I wore a new merch item that I had bought from the Pop Up Shop the day before. It was a baggy, black sweater that had “rep” on it multiple times on the chest. There are little zippers on the sleeves.
I paired them with black leggings and snake pattern heeled boots, which I am 5’9” normally, but these made me about 6’1”. Whoa! My mom wore a black, lace top with a black skirt and black tights and black boots. She also wore a gold scarf with snake pattern on it. There were security people, AT&T workers and a bunch of fans all over. We waited outside this building until it was time to be allowed inside. This is where they checked our I.D. against the guest list, checked us in, had us go through a metal detector, etc. We then got into another line for the shuttle bus that took us to the actual event location. We spend roughly 1-1.5 hours at the first meeting point. We got on the bus which was blasting Taylor’s new album. It was awesome to sing along and
dance with other fans on the bus. We had no idea where we were headed, but it was extremely exciting! Soon enough, we pulled up to the event, which ended up being at the location of the Pop Up Shop. The party was upstairs in a different area of the building! It was funny because my mom & I were wondering what was going in the next door of the shop the night before, because we saw workers bringing in various items to set up in there. So, I feel like it must of had to do with the party and I had no idea at the time! We all were given wristbands, one color band and one AT&T band to show that we were supposed to be there. I thought the color band was to organize the amount of people on each bus, but later I found it to be something different. We get inside and walk through

this fun, light-up hallway which led to a neon light sign at the end that read “Ready For It?” My excitement level just kept growing and growing. I walk out of the hallway and there it was. The room of the event! It was beautiful. Large photos of Taylor all over the walls, a big piano, reputation blasting. It was perfect. When we first got in, we had to register our wristbands at a kiosk. This wristband connected to our email account so that we could just scan it over a bar at the photo booths to send our photos to us. Very cool! After taking photos in the entrance, there was an area that had Taylor’s hooded outfit from the “...Ready For It?” music video along with the video playing. Around the corner from it was Taylor’s Super Saturday Night outfit along with footage from the performance. Past this area were a bunch of comfy white chairs & couches, bar tables and various places to hang out. There was an open bar that served pop, water, wine, champagne and beer. They had a signature drink just for the event called the “Reputation Spritzer”
which they put blueberries in champagne with a rock candy stick that changed the drink blue and made it fizzy. Behind the bar was a neon sign that read, “Baby Let The Games Begin.” Stepping away from there were more tables and seating areas, along with another neon sign that read “No One Has to Know.” There was a candy bar that was filled with yummy treats! You could fill up a clear Chinese take-out looking box with as much candy as you wanted. All the candy was colored as blue, white and grey. I feel like the whole event were these colors due to the fact that AT&T was hosting and their logo is white and blue. The candy was provided by Sugarfina. Soo yummy! There also was a cookie dough bar. Yes, that’s right, edible cookie dough! The flavors available were cake batter and chocolate chip. You could eat as much as you wanted too. There was a station next to it to put various toppings on the cookie dough too. From whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate chips, chocolate drizzle and anything else you can imagine.
Taylor’s Queen of Snakes throne was there to take photos with along with a fun corner filled with various sized balloons. The balloons were different shades of blue with white ones mixed in as well. There was a neon sign by the balloons that read, “In My Dreams.” Her outfits from the Look What You Made Me Do music video were also displayed along with a neon light that read, “Look What You Made Me Do.” There were waiters and waitresses with platters going around with various appetizer type foods, which you could have as much as you wanted. Some included mini burgers, fries, deep fried mac and cheese, vegan options and more. They were so yummy! My mom couldn’t stop trying everything! In the one corner, there were gigantic monitors that went from the floor up to the ceiling. In this area we were shown never before seen footage of Taylor’s Making of a Song from Taylor Swift NOW. Watching Taylor creating her music is so much fun and she is beyond adorable. After we got done watching the videos, something amazing
happened. All of a sudden I heard screaming, which only meant one thing. TAYLOR. TAYLOR WAS HERE!! I wasn’t too far away from the monitors, so I ran up there as fast as I could in order to get closer. Taylor was so close! She was standing right in front of me! I couldn’t believe it! She thanked us for such an amazing release of reputation and for coming. Towards the end of her speech, she told us that she had a meet and greet set up to meet each and every one of us. I lost it. I completely lost it. I have never felt these kinds of emotions before in my life. It’s hard to even describe, honestly. When I heard those words come out of her mouth, the tears came pouring out of my eyes. I was shaking so bad. I was already shaking when she came out, but my whole body was just a mess, shaking. She said goodbye to us and walked off from the area. WHAT?! I turned back to find my mom, who I ran to crying and hugged her so tight. I couldn’t stop crying. I was so excited. I would finally be meeting the person I loved and have been devoted to for the past 11 years of my life. My mom

started tearing up because she saw me crying and it made her cry, from what she told me. There were camera crews from AT&T all over the place filming the event. They came up to a bunch of people to interview them after Taylor announced she would meet everyone. I was one of these people. I started out ok talking about how I have been a fan for so long and was so happy to be there and thankful. Then I started crying while they were recording. I said how much I love Taylor and my mom just hugged me. I have NO idea how awful that footage is or when it will be out. Also, unsure if I will be part of it, but time will tell. A woman came out to announce how the meet and greet would work. Each of us had colored wristbands (like I mentioned earlier) and each color was how they organized groups to meet Taylor. down at my wrist and OH. MY. GOD. MINE IS GREEN! I freak out and grab my mom and we go to line up. We get in line behind a girl and her mom who we had talked with at the meeting point. Tori and her mom, Dawn. We spoke with them again before going in and then ended up hanging out with them for the rest of the night! I was thankful for that because they were such sweet, lovely people. It was great to make new friends. :) We were in line to a black curtain, which led to a point where we had to check in with workers at a kiosk with a tablet to check us on the guest list. We then waited again to get to another black curtain, which behind this curtain was Taylor. She was right there! SO CLOSE!! We were only allowed one photo with Taylor and it had to be with our guest or we could take it
alone. I didn’t want to take mine alone because this is a memory that my mom and I shared together. So, I definitely did want the photo to be with my mom. It was our turn to go through the curtain. We weren’t allowed to bring anything in with us, so we gave everything to a woman who would give it back to us after we left the meet and greet. So, we handed
over our purses and phones. I poked my head in the curtain and there she was. Taylor Swift. Standing there, so tall and beautiful. She was wearing a white leopard print baggy sweater with what looked like leathery pants or leggings. She had a dark burgundy heeled boot on, which made her even taller. She is smiling and puts her arms up in the air and motions her hands at me to come over and goes, “Come here! Come here!” I must have been smiling so freaking big at this point. I gave her a huge hug and her hugs are honestly the best things ever. She hugs you like you’re her best friend, so tight! She went and hugged my mom who was super excited too. My mom said, “We just love you!” And Taylor said, “Aww I love you guys too!” Taylor turns back to me and because I was wearing her merch along with snake boots, she was jumping up and down excitedly and goes, “Your outfit is on point! You should have been my merch model! You are a gorgeous girl!” I just couldn’t stop smiling and saying thank you to her. I showed her my snake boots and she just loved them. She goes to

rep nyc celebration my mom, while pointing to me up and down she says, “Thank you so much for supporting all of this!” I’m just beaming! So, we go to take our photo and my mom and I are on each side of Taylor. I am on her right and my mom is on her left. She puts her arms around us and I lean my head towards her and then I felt Taylor’s head boop against mine. I feel like the whole reason my smile is so obnoxious and gigantic is because of this moment. The moment I felt her head touch mine, I got so overfilled with happiness that my smile got HUGE. Therefore, my photo with Taylor looks like I’m a total crazy person, but I honestly could not help it. Before we left she asked me if the party was ok and that everything was going alright out there. I was like, “Are you kidding? It’s the most fantastic thing ever! We love it, thank you!” You could tell she was happy to hear that, she was just smiling so much. I gave her another big hug and said “I love you so much!” She then said “I love you so much too!” We said bye and exited through the curtain. We got our stuff back and then walked out back into the event feeling surreal. I couldn’t believe that this just happened. I couldn’t believe that out of millions of fans online, I was found and chosen to attend this magical event. I STILL do not believe it happened because it’s just that insane to me. I don’t think I will ever get over it. I have never been noticed by Taylor or Taylor Nation on any form of social media, but out of nowhere Taylor Nation contacted me on Twitter. I do not have a big following either. I have no idea how or why they found me, but they did. I can’t thank them

or Taylor enough for that. I still get teary eyed thinking back to all of this. I am so thankful. We hung out some more with Tori & Dawn. Took photos, ate candy and cookie dough, danced and sang to Taylor’s music that was on repeat. We got a two separate group photos with Andrea and Scott Swift. I did not get any guitar picks from Scott, sadly. But, was happy to say hello to him and get a group photo anyway. They were so sweet! The event ended close to midnight and people were clearing out. In the hallway on the way out AT&T workers had swag bags to hand us. We got one filled with Taylor merch in a black rep bag and a second clear and silver metallic bag with Taylor Swift NOW merch from AT&T! I thought that was so nice of them to give so much to us after putting on such an extravagant party! Inside the Taylor Swift NOW bag was a smaller clear,
silver metallic zipper bag, water bottle, and journal, which all had “Taylor Swift NOW” on it. The black rep bag contained a white shirt with Taylor’s album art on it, a rep pop socket phone stand, a grey rep hat, rep bumper sticker, and special snake keychain that had “New York” printed on the back for attending the special event.
I will never forget this night for the rest of my life. I never thought I would be so lucky to experience something as amazing as this. I felt like I was in a movie. I am beyond thankful for everything and hope Taylor and her team knows how much I love them and appreciate this whole event. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

RIP Taylor connect I’m sorry, the Old Taylor Connect Can’t Come to the Phone Right Now...Why? CAUSE IT’S DEAD. tanya ohnmeiss

That’s right. Taylor Connect, a Social Network for Taylor Fans Around the World has ended. Now, I’m not sure if many of you newer fans really know about Taylor Connect, or TC as we used to call it. But, it was basically a forum website where fans could make friends with one another posting various Taylor related topics from her music, fashion, events and so on. There were games, fan projects and graphics that fans would come up with as well. This was a big thing for Swifties to get to know each other before other social media, like Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr became such a huge thing like it is today. Personally, you could find me on the graphics forum pages a majority of the time. I had my own graphic shop, which meant that fans would come request a banner that could be used in their signature when they posted around TC. My graphics ranged basic photos with lyrics to animated gifs, sparkles, rain and words. I very much enjoyed making graphics for all my friends and fellow Swifties. It made me happy to see that so many people enjoyed my work. My banner was even featured at the top page of the forums for a time being. I was SO FREAKING HAPPY AND EXCITED WHEN THAT HAPPENED! The whole reason I went to college for ZINE THIRTEEN ISSUE 05 december 2017

graphic design is in fact because of TC. I never thought about becoming a graphic designer prior to being a part of this website. Everyone on here inspired me so much, as well as Taylor to become a graphic designer. Guess what? I went to art school. Graduated with honors. And now I’m a graphic designer/supervisor for my city’s main newspaper. WHAT?! Yeah, all of that because of Taylor and all of you guys who supported me on TC with my graphics. I have YOU all to thank for my career path in life. I am very happy with this path I chose and I truly want to thank you all so much for that. You’re all so wonderful. Seriously.
I made so many wonderful friends on TC over the years. Some I still keep in contact with today. Arely (@aaswiftie13) is one of my best friends! We have never gotten to meet in person, but her and I have become so close and talk every single day. She’s wonderful! We talk about literally everything. We send each other gifts for our birthdays and Christmas each year too! It’s magical to have such a great friend even if she lives so far away. I will always be there for her and I know she will always be there for me. Another best friend of mine is Tiffany (@princesst13). Her and I actually met in Tampa, FL at the Speak Now concert! We
both won the Cover Girl contest that was going on at the time and we both won tickets to that show. It was wonderful to be able to meet her in person and hang out at the show! We talk all the time and also send each other birthday and Christmas gifts every year. :) We always joke about being twins on everything but she’s the mini twin and I’m the big twin (she and I have a big height difference haha). I felt these two needed to be mentioned because they are honestly Swiftie sisters who I am so happy to have in my life. They mean a lot to me! I am very thankful for ALL the friends I had made on TC that I do still talk with from time to time. You guys are so fantastic and I’m thankful for each and every one of you. :) It’s sad to see such a big part of my Swiftie life go away, but it makes sense to make room for The Swift Life app instead. Everything is more mobile based nowadays compared to the late nights we used to spend sitting at our computer desks or in bed with our laptops. I am both interested and excited to see what The Swift Life has in store for us all. It was a great time TC, but on behalf of us fans, we are thankful you existed and brought so many of us together. Goodbye, TC. We’ll never forget you.

Taylor, along with many other brave people have been deemed Time Person of the Year. These people have been strong enough to speak up for what they believe is right and to help spread awareness to causes where some may be too afraid to speak for themselves. I feel as though this is a great message that Time is sending across to people. It is important to speak up about things, even if it may seem hard to or that nobody will listen to you. Taylor went through a horrible trial that did not get concluded until years later, but she is a huge voice. She speaks up for what’s right and hopefully will encourage others to do the same. Congratulations Taylor and all the other people of the year. You are truly inspirational and incredible. Keep being you.
