It’s October! :) I hope everyone is enjoying October so far. I know not everyone experience the same changing of the seasons as I probably do, but the leaves have been changing color in my area and look so beautiful! “Autumn leaves falling down like pieces into place...” So, this issue is full of many wonderful things. One of my favorite being TAYLOR’S POLITICAL VOICE HAS FINALLY BEEN HEARD! I completely understand why she kept quiet for so long, in fear of the issues that come along with it. But, she has finally broken her silence and there definitely was a lot to be said about it. I, however, am proud as ever of Taylor for voicing WWW.ISSUU.COM/ZINETHIRTEEN
her opinion in the matter. People will always try to bring her down, regardless of what she says or does. But, the true fans and good people of the world will see her true side. That is what matters most. It’s unfortuante that there is so much hate in this world, but it’s all how you manage it. A few other items in this issue include the AMAs! Yay! Taylor’s first performance in almost 3 years at an awards show. And what a night it was! An explosive performance, winning all awards she was nominated for AND breaking the record for winning the most AMAs for a female artist! WOW! You are amazing, Taylor! :) She looked absolutely gorgeous in her shiny, diso ball dress and boot combo. Make-up
was flawless, along with her hair. Her and Camilla looked so cute in the audience together. Such a great night! It was fun to interact with everyone on Twitter while the show was going on. I missed nights like that. I know concert nights bring this fandom together as well, but it’s just a different kind of fun and excitement when we are all watching the awards at the same time. :) I’m excited to share a few Swiftie stories that are incredible! We hear from a fan, Jamie, who tells his Swiftie story. Those always make me smile. :) We also take a look at the heroic fan who saved a woman from a kidnapping. Wow! Taylor fans are some of the best, if not THE best fans in the world. We are one big

There has been even more hype surrounding the new Limited Edition Taylor Swift Fujifilm Instax Camera that is being released on October 20th! In Cologne, Germany, a Taylor display was setup at Photokina, which is a exhibit that demonstates the development in the imaging industry. This display featured polaroid photos taken with the special Taylor Swift Instax camera, which featured photos of Taylor along with photos related to her such as, the instruments from the show and the venue itself. The display also included a throne similar to the one shown in the “Look What You Made Me Do” music video, for fans to take photos on. The backdrop featured Taylor holding an Instax camera. The limited edition camera was also on display behind glass. The camera is very “rep era” themed, being gold and black, with Taylor’s name repeatedly shown across the front in the “newspaper” style she has on the reputation album cover. Her signature is on the back and the camera comes with a special Taylor Swift strap and photo carring case. In the words of Mama Swift, “THAT’S MY BABY AND I’M PROUD.” Taylor voiced her opinion on the current elections taking place on Novemeber 6th. She stated her own opinion on the candidates for Tennessee and also urged people to become educated on the cadidates for their state and choose to vote for the ones that relate best to your own beliefs. Taylor also stood up for people of color, LGBTQ+ and women all in her Instagram post. It was absolutely inspirational and makes all of us as a fandom SO proud of her. We love you, Taylor. Thank you for always encouraging us to have our voices be heard. It’s truly important to do so and it helps a whole lot to hear someone of Taylor’s status to promote such a thing. Taylor’s Instagram Post I’m writing this post about the upcoming midterm elections on November 6th, in which I’ll be voting in the state of Tennessee. In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now. I always have and always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the human rights I believe we all deserve in this country. I believe in the fight for LGBTQ rights, and that any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender is WRONG. I believe that the systemic racism we still see in this country towards people of color is terrifying, sickening and prevalent.
I cannot vote for someone who will not be willing to fight for dignity for ALL Americans, no matter their skin color, gender or who they love. Running for Senate in the state of Tennessee is a woman named Marsha Blackburn. As much as I have in the past and would like to continue voting for women in office, I cannot support Marsha Blackburn. Her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me. She voted against equal pay for women. She voted against the Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which attempts to protect women from domestic violence, stalking, and date rape. She believes businesses have a right to refuse service to gay couples. She also believes they should not have the right to marry.
These are not MY Tennessee values. I will be voting for Phil Bredesen for Senate and Jim Cooper for House of Representatives. Please, please educate yourself on the candidates running in your state and vote based on who most closely represents your values. For a lot of us, we may never find a candidate or party with whom we agree 100% on every issue, but we have to vote anyway. So many intelligent, thoughtful, selfpossessed people have turned 18 in the past two years and now have the right and privilege to make their vote count. But first you need to register, which is quick and easy to do. October 9th is the LAST DAY to register to vote in the state of TN. Go to vote.org and you can find all the info. Happy Voting!

Taylor announced on October 2nd that she would be performing “I Did Something Bad” at the AMAs this year! Her announcment video was absolutely adorable, which featured Taylor sitting on a white couch along with a special guest... Meredith! Meredith had the typical “Mere don’t care” attitude she tends to have towards everything, which makes the video even more funny and amusing to watch. Now, Taylor’s performance took place last night, October 9th, at the AMAs. This was her first award show performance in almost 3 years! HUGE DEAL! Which absolutely made fans excited! She blew all of us away with her performace, which was quite similar to the version she performed on tour. But... KARYN THE SNAKE MADE AN APPEARANCE! WHAT?! There was fireworks and flames bursting out of the stage, adding to the visual aspect of the performance. All around spectacular show! What else? WE ARE SWIFTIES Becoming a Swiftie: Jamie’s Story @TRUTH_LOVE_HOPE (JAMIE)
I’m a male in my 30’s and Taylor Swift wasn’t really my go to artist, in fact I really only listened to music on the radio. But I decided to listen to Lorde on Google Play as she went to my school, and I thought I should support her by listening to her music at least. Then I saw, Taylor Swift went to Lorde’s birthday party and I was like she seems really familiar, and so I listened to her music. Well my mind started exploding with vivid colours and thoughts started racing in my head. I was jogging at the time and my daily jogs went from 30 mins to 2 hours as I wanted to listen to more and more of Taylor’s music. At the time I was working two jobs which involved managing 10 staff, and equivalent to 2 businesses; with customers (businesses) in 5 countries. I was trying to involve overseas firms to reduce my workload and normalize my life but it was too little too late. At the peak I events in 4 cities and 2 countries in one month, it was a blast and it was diverse work conferences, parties, family, and rooftop bars. I was doing so much and wasn’t sleeping much and this Taylor Swift music consuming my mind, I was writing response lyrics for Blank Space and trying WWW.ISSUU.COM/ZINETHIRTEEN
to email them to Taylor Swift; I really hope none got through, that would be so embarrassing!!!! I knew something wasn’t right and I tried to sleep more at night after all my partying but couldn’t. I was jogging every day, sometimes twice a day and I was doing a lot of kilometers but I still couldn’t sleep properly. Then my state of awareness changed and I had so many thoughts in my head and I couldn’t stop them; it was like I had every Taylor Swift song in my head and when I listened to them every lyric had meaning in my life. I would start to relate other things to Taylor Swift and people were started to get a little worried about me, I could see it in their faces. I thought I need help and I had to get back to my home country, as I was worried how I would be medically treated. It was the hardest trip I had made in a cab, train and plane to New Zealand; I was in a full mania or in a full manic state. In the airport I went to the cafe to look for Taylor (it was a Wednesday), I went to the airport business lounge told the staff Taylor Swift was expecting me. Inside I knew none of this was right but I had to entertain the thoughts to keep it together. The night before the Doctor’s I went into a bush looking for Taylor Swift, I was listening to her songs and I was just captivated and I was
posting on Instagram. I was trying to express what was going on, and I knew it wasn’t normal but wow it was amazing at the same time. To be in the most elevated mood state known and to fixated on Taylor Swift, in hindsight it was the best thing to be crazy about given that people usually do far worse things. I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 and got medication, so far I have had a few highs and I haven’t had the black depression. So I really am the lucky one, as most people with Bipolar 1 get black depression and a few highs is fortunate when compared with Bipolar 2 which can be very frequent. Most of the time I am in a normal mood state and if anything I struggle with the mental health stigma and understanding what happened to me; hence why I archive most of most posts quickly. I’d also chatted an American girl in 2005 who had a lot of similar interests to Taylor Swift, she
disappeared in 2006 and stopping chatting. 2005-2006 for me also held a lot of stuff which related to Taylor Swift and she was not even a global artist then. But all the chat history and websites related, haunted me and I had to go through it all, I related those memories to Taylor Swift’s lyrics and who see was. A year and a half has passed and it’s like Taylor Swift broke me only to re build me and I am a happier person. I work what seems like half a job now, and I have spent a lot of times on Insta and listened to way too much Taylor Swift. I’m not your average Swifty and I don’t fit in, I did have a Swifty comment I should get medical help which made me laugh a little. I may get to a Rep concert in Melbourne or Auckland, but I am a bit apprehensive being an older guy!

Taylor is one of the most giving and kind-hearted people on this planet, which we know. But, she continues to show her love towards others in such beautiful ways. Taylor recently met Jacob, a little boy with autism at her Houston, TX show. Taylor had donated $10,000 towards Jacob’s service dog and also donated front row seats to her show as well as backstage passes! How amazing! :) Here is a message that Jacob’s mother had posted about their experience with Taylor: ‘’Taylor Swift donated $10,000 towards my son’s service dog. She gave us front row seats and backstage passes to her concert this past weekend. Taylor Swift was so kind. She said Reid was
a big puffball and so cute. She was especially awesome with Jacob. She didn’t see my son’s disability she just saw him. She got down on her knees and looked him right in the eyes and said hello and that she was thankful HE came to her show even though she knew it was loud and there was so much
going on. He grabbed her face and pulled her hair back and said ‘Hi Taylor!’ which was something we were working on all week, but didn’t know if he would be able to say it. She was very gracious and acted like him grabbing her face didn’t even phase her. After the picture was taken, the flash scared
him so he snuggled right up to her and her sweet smile says it all. My daughter, Jordan, was pumped to meet her. We feel so blessed! Taylor is such an amazing person for doing this for us...again! Jacob made it through almost the entire concert. Taylor is such an autism advocate we love her!’’ -Allison H.

It was magical for Taylor to have sent them flowers in the first place and now they add to the magic in their lives to meet Taylor in person. Such a wonderful story in their journey of marriage. Congrats again, you two! :)

Joseph Grundl made headlines notifying the police about a kidnapped woman while delivering a pizza to her home on October 2nd. Joseph was wearing a rep tour hoodie in the TV interviews about the incident, which got a lot of people talking on social media. At Taylor’s show in Arlington, TX on October 5th, Taylor’s team tracked him down & took him to meet Taylor! Not all heroes wear capes... in this case, they wear Taylor merch! Stay awesome, Joseph!
