Executive Summary

In this project, we aim to create an issue as a group. the Gentlewoman Magazine is our choice of mainstream established publication and creative inspiration for this project. Due to the COVID-19, we want to create a digital/online publication instead of printed. Not only did we want this issue to be accessible, but also personal. Our theme for this issue is ”Comfort". Finding comfort in emotion, uncertainty, and hope is all the feelings that we experience at this moment. With our comfort concept, we want to keep the aesthetic and purpose of the Gentlewoman. Theme:

"Comfort" issue is here to bring you comfort. To recognize that everyday life is a work of art, we all contribute to this art by staying at home.

In order to fit in with the comfort of the loungewear trend, the overall theme of loungewear beauty focuses on minimalism. There is an emphasis on a natural look, which encompasses a clean and highlymoisturized face with a shiny lip.

BEAUTY

14

As to the beauty inspiration for the photoshoot, we chose natural makeup, nude-colored nails with white points at the tip of the nails, and a natural straight hairstyle. The tone of the whole makeup would be cool, which can create a lazy and cozy atmosphere.

Finding Comfort During a Crisis Comfort wear has been a predominant trend over the past couple of years, starting with a rise in Athleisure. With a worldwide pandemic due to the COVID-19, there has been a significant increase in sales for loungewear since people spend lots of time inside the house. Even though summer is rolling around, people don't shop for bathing suits, skirts, or dresses. They're focused more on comfortable clothes they can wear for meetings, workout sessions, and lounging around within their own homes.

Minoti Benegal

As a team, we agreed that it would be apt to delve into this trend and create a shoot with all our varying versions of loungewear. Through this project, we are looking to portray the outfits we relax in and what our best days look like in a time like this in the most fun, unique way possible. This is a highly stressful situation, our entire world is dealing with right now, and we only hope to find happiness for ourselves and hopefully provide it for others around us. We aspire for everyone who views our photoshoot as a way for them to make the best out of quarantine and take this time to get creative within the home. 33
