In response to the densely forested landscape that is bordered by an irrigation ditch, the house takes on a compact, deliberate footprint. A strong interior/exterior relationship is formed while simultaneously framing the site’s primary views.
Program is stacked vertically; the public spaces are on the ground floor with strong indoor / outdoor relationships. The private spaces are in the second floor with deck access.
The iconic gable roof form is lifted to accent the mountain views.
