The Royal Family 10 x 30’ The Royal Family is a comedy series about a good-hearted and loving regal family who are unfortunately really quite unsuitable as upstanding representatives of the monarchy. The action focuses around five main characters who live and work at the Royal Palace: the kind but clueless King Erik IV; the conservative noblewoman Queen Ulrika; the streetwise Crown Prince Oscar, who is entirely uninterested by the monarchy; the spoilt and rather dim brat Princess Lovisa, and the politically correct “media crisis extinguisher”, Palace Press Officer Tova Unger. A number of secondary characters surround these five persons of distinction: the lady-in-waiting Märtha, the King’s best friend, Foffe, gossip columnist David T Sundwall, bodyguards and royal correspondents. The Royal Family are, in many ways, like any ordinary nuclear family, with similar problems and conflicts – only, taken to extremes. In addition to these everyday domestic troubles, conflicts naturally arise because of society’s expectations on the royal family. The media, the general public and various institutions place heavy demands on them, and there are frequent comical clashes between their expectations and the reality of what the family is actually like. Badults Series 1: 6 x 30’ Series 2: 6 x 30’

(Delivery Spring 2014)

Energetic sitcom about childhood friends Matthew, Tom and Ben who grew up together but haven’t yet grown up. They couldn’t be worse at being adults… they’re Badults! Outrageous, ridiculous, and with an anarchic streak Badults follows flatmates Tom, Ben and Matthew on a series of adventures that lead them to the brink of death, imprisonment, and even worldwide fame. Watch the boys fail spectacularly at being adults as they rob banks, chase girls, poison pals, blow their cash, sing, dance and get guillotined. Spatulas become sexy, restaurants pop-up, lizards give advice and dance tunes are off the hizook! On the hairy face of it, Matthew is the most sensible of the trio. He’s been to university and wears glasses. He sees it as his responsibility to make sure the fun flows in carefully measured doses and things don’t go too far. He often fails at his responsibility. Bald schemer Tom is full of bad ideas. He is in love with Matthew’s sister Rachel in a perpetually unrequited way. In Tom’s head he’s realising his full potential in reality he’s realising very little. Brainless Ben has little interest in going outside the flat. Ben’s ideal day would be spent mostly in the bath, followed by watching three films in the afternoon and perhaps playing Fifa, all while eating pizza. Series one sees the boys massively overdraw from their joint account, launch a restaurant in the flat, produce a dinosaur/fish monster movie, weave a web of deceit with women, launch a hit dance anthem and re-trace their past through a childhood toy. Popular supernatural drama with added style, wit and glamour

Switch 6 x 60’ Switch is a vibrant, romantic and colourful comedy drama from the producers of Being Human, about a group of twenty-something girls based in London’s edgy Camden Town district... who just happen to be witches! Stella, Jude, Grace and Hannah are best friends trying to make their way in the big city – forging friendships, negotiating love lives and beating out career paths. They’re trying to live a modern life and not one based on their mothers’ old-fashioned country rituals. But modern life has its problems – especially when rival coven the Witches of Kensington are trying to thwart their every move. The girls may have magic at their fingertips and the ability to ‘switch’ events, but they can only perform spells as a group and must keep the strongest of bonds between them – which is easier said than done!

All was fine in Dany’s life until her husband decided to leave her for a much younger woman. Their daughter Alix, sympathetic to her mother, comes back from her studies in Switzerland to help Dany get through the ordeal. She wouldn’t have suspected that, past the initial shock, she would get back on her feet so quickly... so well that she would fall in love with a man ten years younger than her! Cast: Michèle Bernier, Morgane Cabot, Jean-Charles Chagachbanian Director: Jérôme Navarro A la Vie Productions for France 3 (2013)

>> Among the top 5 programmes on France 3’s Tuesday

night this season with an average 4.5 million viewers and 16.4% market share

>> An impressive 42% increase on the slot average

A comedy starring Corporal Gary McLintoch – a leader of men and a lover of chips. Gary (Greg McHugh) is back with a bang bang. Series 3 of Gary: Tank Commander provides fresh challenges for Gary as he tussles with a cocky fitness instructor who makes fun of his physique, a confidence trickster who seems to have mind control powers over him and, as ever, an increasingly angry Sergeant Thomson. The boys get to know their new recruit, the daft, young and hyperenthusiastic Mickey Millar, and spend some time in Germany, where Charlie’s shock engagement means that their last week is going to be anything but dull – especially with Gary as best man. A spooky prediction from Julie’s favourite fortune teller is hard for Gary to shake off, however saving Captain Fanshaw’s life, then saving the entire barracks, restores heroic Gary’s legendary status. Kind of. With all new monologues covering Syria, ghosts and Bob Marley, as well as more extravagant camcorder silliness from Afghanistan, this new series proves that, yet again, when the chips are down, Gary’s the man to pick them up. And eat them. Starring: Greg McHugh Writers: Greg McHugh and Chris Grady Produced / Director: Iain Davidson Executive Producer: Rab Christie The Comedy Unit for BBC Scotland (2008-2012)

Limmy’s Show

Burnistoun

Series 1: 7 x 30’ Series 2: 6 x 30’ Series 3: 6 x 30’

Series 1: 7 x 30’ Series 2: 6 x 30’ Series 3: 6 x 30’

Bafta award-winning Limmy’s Show returns for a gloriously inventive and uniquely funny third series.

Burnistoun the Scottish BAFTA nominated comedy sketch show created, written by and starring Scotland’s top comedy partnership, Iain Connell and Robert Florence, returns for a third series.

Yet again Brian “Limmy” Limond has created an exciting collection of wild characters, strangely familiar situations and outrageous observations. “Chum Chum” the new real-life social network. Those crippling worries that keep you awake at 3am. The wicked joy of “accidentally” annoying someone. Series 3 is another surprising and hilarious look at the modern world through the eyes of the ever-insightful Limmy. Alongside these brilliant sketches, many favourite characters are welcomed back; ‘Adventure Call’ a television fantasy phone-in competition hosted by the downtrodden Falconhoof, the constantly baffled and spaced out Dee Dee, the recovering drug addict with a chip on her shoulder Jacqueline McAfferty and the not-so-psychic Raymond Day. Written, directed and performed by: Brian Limond Producer: Jacqui Sinclair Executive Producer: Rab Christie The Comedy Unit for BBC Scotland (2009-2012)

Popular characters from the previous series making welcome returns include the self-styled ‘quality polis’ team McGregor and Toshan whose questionable policing methods result in more mayhem; Jolly Boy John with more YouTube style clips from his bedroom featuring, among other items, a pakora sauce fountain and a squirrel in a bonnet; and long-time pals Peter and Scott falling out over social networking, the correct form of footwear for the pub, whether or not to shave a certain part of their anatomy and even the best way to die. So welcome back to Burnistoun where the humour is often dark, sometimes surreal, but always hilarious. As one TV critic said of this latest series, “Thank God for Burnistoun – a sketch show which is actually funny.” Written and performed by: Iain Connell and Robert Florence Produced and directed by: Iain Davidson Script Editor: Niall Clark Executive Producer: Rab Christie The Comedy Unit for BBC Scotland (2010-2012)
