Farmlife meets the Avantgarde
Autumn season - happy to see you again!
This season we want to bring a lot of strong colors into early Autumn. We know that in August we are not ready to leave the Summer behind, but still, we want to feel the spirit of the new season with some statement pieces and updated colors.
For this magazine we choose a theme called ’Farm life meets the Avantgarde’. We want to explore the trend of mixing your most treasured items with wellies and getting full use of what you already have. Why save your most beautiful pieces for special occasions? They deserve to shine!
We also explore mixing items with patina, that has a cool vibe, with embellished statement pieces - this gives a really cool & casual look.
As something brand new to us, we have designed a line of ZOEY boots. They are made to fit every curvy woman with focus on calf and ankle size and they are the most comfortable boots you will ever wear!
For the photoshoot we went to Mejlgaard Slot, a beautiful castle only 30 minutes from the ZOEY headquarters. Thank you for an amazing day!
The images speak for themselves though! And I think we got the best result of all times. I am so in love with this collection, and I can’t wait for you to look thought it all too.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we did when making it.
Best wishes

”Autumn season - I love it! I love layering, wrapping myself in a long dress and the many styling opportunities the colder weather bring.
This season I am dreaming of more color than I usually wear for Autumn, and I think it will even spice up my excising wardrobe to add some colorful pieces.
We have some big-time everyday favorites this season, like the TERESA Fleece Jacket and ADRIENNE Boots that I can hardly wait to use both on and off work.”
” I look forward to the season of ”hygge”, having friends over for coffee and lighting a candle.”
”Adding some color can also be on the lips. These pinks from Glossier can also be applied as rouge, which I think is so smart”
BOOTS”I have never been able to find a long boot that my calf’s fit into. I can’t wait to finally match these long ZOEY boots with dresses and tights”
”I could really use some inspiration for easy everyday salads for the whole family.
We have grown to love using an ’old fashion’ cookbook, so I hope to find a recipe book with lovely pictures like this blueberry salat”

What’s trending for Autumn 23?
For Autumn 23 we are seeing a lovely positive vibe, both for the colors, themes and moods. We are dreaming of surplus of everything, from pearls and colors, to volume in fabrics and details.
At the same time we now know that everything can happen and we see this in the rising of survival gear such as pockets and multifuncional use of garments.

Why study trends?
Understanding trends and studying consumer behavior ’in the future’ is a tool for designers when we need to be ahead of time. At ZOEY we design collections a year before the styles are released in stores. This is the time needed for fitting, construction, production, and logistics to all do their job to perfection. This way we ensure that the products live up to our standards & the needs of our consumers.

ZOEY PRAGUE loves
We asked our agent from Chech Republic, Peter, to give us his recommendation to a trip to Prague. We can’t wait for our chance to go!
”Prague - Czech people call it the heart of Europe regarding the geographical position. It is also because we love it so much. It is small enough to see briefly the historical part in one day just walking and it is cheap if you buy in the right places.”
”THE CZECH REPUBLIC DRINKS MORE BEER PER CAPITA THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.”
Beer used to be cheaper than water here. The type of beer Pilsner/Pils (Plzeň) was invented in another Czech city Pilsen (Plzeň). The most famous Pils based brand here is the Pilsen brewery Pilsner Urquell. Modern breweries are growing in the Czech market also very progressively the last years
There are several ways you can have it draft:
”I would mention 2 important players for very good gastronomy here: Cafe Imperial, which is such a stunning building & Ambiente, a collective that create food events and promot good food”
If you want to see the famous astronomical clock, Staroměstský Orloj, remember to watch your pockets while watching ;)

Patricias Grandmothers recipie for
Traditional Apple Pie
Ingredients
For the pastry:
• 400g. flour
• 220g. unsalted butter (cold)
• 50g. icing sugar
• 1/2 tsp salt • 1 egg yolk • 1 egg
• 1 tsp water (may not be needed)
For filling:
• 10 apples
• 1 tin of coronation caramel
• The juice of 1 lemon • 3 tsp ground cinnamon • 2 tsp ground ginger
• 40g. caster sugar • 3 tbsp. corn flour
Pastry: Mix the flour and icing sugar together, then add the butter, and pulse together until it resembles breadcrumbs, then add the egg yolk and egg and mix. Bring it together into a ball if it is a bit dry still add a little water.
Once it is mixed well roll into a ball and cover it and let it rest in the fridge for 25 minutes.
Filling: Peel and core the apples and slice them into chunks and put them in a sauce pan with the lemon juice, sugar and spices and 3 tbsp. corn flour. Over a gentle heat, stir until they start to become soft then add the caramel. I used about 3/4 of the tin but you can use the whole tin if you like. Cool the filling down before making the pie.
There is something special about the recipes that have gone from generation to generation. And often the reason why it keeps being a family favorite is because it is just great and have been perfected for years. This season Patricia agreed to share her grandmothers’ recipe for traditional apple pie.
Making the pie: Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and cut the dough in two, roll out one of the balls of dough and line the bottom of the tin with it. Cut off excess and roll it into the other ball of dough so you have enough to use for the top. Add the filling then roll out the other piece of dough and cut into strips and make a lattice on the pie or decorate how you like. Brush with beaten egg and bake for about 45 minutes or until golden. Enjoy!
