Fashion has no size! Welcome Spring 23! Welcome to the season we look most forward to with its fresh colors and promises of brighter days. This year we are dreaming of ESCAPING from the trivia of everyday life. We want to fly out into the world and possibly find somewhere that we can forget – just for a moment. Don’t get me wrong – I love my life and I know the whole ZOEY team love the spirit we have in the office. But we are undergoing so many changes at the moment. The world is a different one from what it was just six months ago. We are working on new ways to design, produce & transport everything that is ZOEY. And of course, that affects us all. We are also adjusting to a world where “just” being a fashion brand isn’t enough. We have a clear and ongoing vision with ZOEY: Dressing the curvy woman, so she feels comfortable and confident! And we are super ready to tell this story to the world, and maybe unveiling more about our mission than we have been before. Equality is on the agenda, and we have been fighting a silent fight for 6 years. Now we are ready to speak up about what we actually believe in. When we deal with equality there are no limits. We will never get anywhere if “we” (red. curves) gang up and discriminate on “small sizes”. I believe in communities and finding likeminded that have had similar experiences. But we must have faith that there is a place for us all and that no one is better than the other. We portrait models that vary in size. Nynne, whom you see on the front page, is wearing a size ZOEY 42. We proudly produce sizes from 38-56. We believe that FASHION HAS NO SIZE! And we hope that you, no matter your size, will find inspiration in our images. Now come with me on a journey through this magazine – we will both be flying high and arriving at a party in style.

The world in Spring 23 It is no secret that these are turbulent times we live in. And this presents a change in our collective minds and a shift in focus. Trends show that we focus a lot more on our lives at home including, cooking, pets, DIY and gardening. The pandemic has forced us to slow down, and many have found that this calm lifestyle is very fulfilling for them. But every trend has a countertrend and now that the world is open again, we dream of escaping, travelling, and owning our future. Bananarama in 1984

Why study trends? Understanding trends and studying consumer behavior ’in the future’ is a tool for designers when we need to be ahead of time. At ZOEY we design collections a year before the styles are released in stores. This is the time needed for fitting, construction, production, and logistics to all do their job to perfection. This way we ensure that the products live up to our standards.

Piña Colada Overnight Chia Porridge ”Need to leave the house early in the morning? Try preparing this easy porridge in the evening – then it is ready to go the next morning. I swear it tastes like holiday on my tongue. Love, Ann”
Ingredients 1 To Go Cup • 1 cup oats
• 1 cup Greek yoghurt • 1 tbsp. Chia seeds • 4 slices of pineapple from a can • 2 tbsp. coconut flour • 2 tbsp. water
How to: Blend the pineapples and mix it with the other ingredients. Stir it well. Add more water depending on how you like your porridge. (The chia seeds will expand and draw a lot of the water, so don’t be shy with it) Add to your ‘to go box’ or glass with a lit like mine. Leave it in the refrigerator overnight and you have a delicious porridge ready to go in the morning. Ready, set, go!

”As an agent on the Faroe Islands for 45 years, I have been so lucky as to follow the development of the country. Today 53.000 inhabitants live on the 18 islands in the North Atlantic Ocean, approx. 1200km from Denmark. The main part live in Tórshavn County, approx.. 23.000 people. The Faroe Islands are going to a perfect holiday destination for any nature lover and probably the only place in the world where you can experience 3-4 seasons in one day, depending on when you visit.”

Enjoy on the road
Croissants with Cottage Cheese and Herbs These croissants must be one of the easiest snacks to make, especially if you use a ready-made dough. And who doesn’t love a quick fix ;)
Ingredients 6 pcs. • Croissant dough (Pssst… I use the ready-made kind) • 200g. cottage cheese • 1 handful green herbs • 1 clove of garlic • 1 tbs. water • Salt & pepper
How to: Blend the cottage cheese with the green herbs, garlic, salt & pepper. Add a tbs. water to make it creamier. Butter the green crème on to the croissant dough and roll them up. Bake at 180C. for 12-15 min. Enjoy on the road!

What is your favorite travel destination? And why? My most lovely travel destination is to my home country Bosnia and to the Riviera of Croatia because there I’m feeling incredibly happy and don’t have any negative thoughts. What is your most memorable travel experience? I cannot forget the time in France. I’m obsessed of the Côte d’Azur because I loved the fantastic food and how positive the people are. How do you plan to spend your holiday this summer? I planned to visit Bosnia and Croatia. I cannot wait to see the beaches and the sea and to breath the fresh sea air.
What to see when in Mülheim? What are your favorite places to visit in your own city? In Mülheim/Ruhr I love to visit the MüGa Park and the Old Town. These two places remind me of many wonderful moments in my childhood. What would you recommend visitors to experience? The MüGa Park is just a must have for visitors. There is an old castle and a gigantic garden with many flowers and a playground for the little visitors.
