On Edit Page High time to gear up the administration
Just one snowfall and the whole administration crumbled like dry leaves putting the people of the valley to large inconveniences and difficulties. The tall claims of the administration that every thing is ready to cope up with any situation and the earlier meetings including the meetings of disaster management proved futile and useless. For two days the whole valley was plunged into darkness, the water supply was badly affected, the road and air connectivity was snapped and the black marketing hoarding and sky rocketing prices made the life of common man a hell. As soon as the news of blockade of national highway spread the tomatoes which were selling at a cost between Rs 20to30 were sold at Rs 80 per kilogram in the evening.
