Missing boy traced after 2 years Srinagar, June 19: An 11 year old boy from South Kashmir’s Qazigund area was traced after two years from New Delhi and was handed over to his parents in presence of ADC Srinagar at DC office. Reports said that a sixth class student Tariq Ahmed Shiekh son of Muhammad Akram had gone missing in 2011 from Qazigund area. With the assistance of ‘Child Line’ an organization which works for the welfare of the children, the boy was traced from New Delhi. “Our Delhi based members brought the boy to Srinagar from New Delhi where he was handed over to his parents in presence of Additional District Development Commissioner Srinagar Shahbaz Ahmed,” one of the members of Child Line Javid Ahmed told CNS. Omar constitutes Koul Commission to probe 2010 killings Srinagar June 18: The State Cabinet Thursday appointed a one-man judicial commission to probe the killing of over 120 civilians during 2010 summer agitation. Justice (retd) M.L.Koul who is also probing the Gagrin Shopian killings at the hands of CRPF will head the Commission. According to CNS the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah decided to constitute a oneman commission to probe all the killings of 2010. More than 120 persons were killed in action by security forces during the agitation in Kashmir Valley in 2010. The government had appointed a commission in 2010 to probe the only 17 killings that had taken place till July that year. When contacted Justice (Retd) M.L.Koul told CNS that he has not received any note from the government so far in this regard so he can’t comment on the issue. Pertinently, Omar Abdullah led government had shelved the Commission of Inquiry (CoI) ordered into the killing of youth in police and paramilitary CRPF firing during the 2010 summer unrest in Kashmir. Srinagar, June 19 : Three militants including divisional commander of Hizbul Mujahideen were killed in a fierce gun battle at Buchoo Tral on Thursday. Reports reaching KNS said that the gun battle started between militants and the security forces at around 6 pm at Buchoo around 10 Kilometres from Tral town. On a tip off the security forces including 3RR, SOG Awantipora, CRPF and police had laid ambush on a road connecting Buchoo with Amlar village.
