President urges citizens to cast votes for stable government New Delhi Jan 25: President Pranab Mukherjee has urged the citizens to cast their votes in the forthcoming general elections with responsibility to form a stable government saying fractured government leads to an unhappy eventuality. Addressing the nation on the eve of 65th Republic day, Mukherjee said every citizen has a responsibility in this regard and the country should not be let down. He said, whosoever wins elections must have an undiluted commitment to stability, honesty and development of India. Amid tight security vigil Govt set to celebrate R-Day functions
Srinagar, Jan 25: Amid tight security vigil, Indian Republic Day functions will be organized all across Jammu and Kashmir on January 26 on Sunday. A police official told CNS that all arrangements have been complete to celebrate Republic Day function all across Kashmir and to conduct these functions smoothly and peacefully, police and security personnel have been put on high alert. The two major functions will be held in twin capitals of the State, Srinagar and Jammu, where the contingents of police, paramilitary troopers, young cadets and school children will march past the Indian flag and stage performances to mark celebrations.
