Burglars gang busted Srinagar, July 27: Police on Saturday said it arrested two burglars and recovered golden ornaments worth over 15 lakhs and cash of Rs 11 thousand within eight hours of the commission of crime. SSP City Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari said that police in a swift action arrested the burglars. Fida Hussain Magloo son of Mohammad Abdullah of Madeen Shaib Lal Bazar reported to Police Station Lalbazar about the burglary of golden ornaments and cash in his residential during broad day light. Acting on this information, a police team was rushed to the spot and the scene of crime was preserved. “Inspection of the scene of crime led to some clues which later on led to the arrest of a lady,” the SSP said. “On her confession, gold ornaments worth 15, 27381 approx and cash worth 11000 were recovered. On her instance another accused involved in the commission of crime was also arrested. The recoveries were made within eight hours of the commission of offence,” Bukhari added.

Girl found hanging in Srinagar Srinagar July 27: A 22 years old Girl (name withheld) resident of Budshah Nagar, Srinagar was found hanging at her home in suspicious condition. Police, after conduction all legal formalities handed over the body of deceased girl to her relatives. Sadder police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard.
3 attempt suicide in North Kashmir Srinagar July 27: Three persons, including a lady, attempted suicide in North Kashmir. In an attempt to end his life, a 16 years old boy, Imran Ahmad Bhat resident of Heel Jageer, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Sheer, Baramulla has consumed some poisonous substance at his home. The boy was immediately rushed to the SKIMS, Soura for treatment. Sheeri Police has registered a case in this regard. Meanwhile, Nasir Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Dilawar resident of Ijara, in the jurisdiction of Police station Boniyar consumed some poisonous substance at his home. He was shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard. Srinagar, July 27: A Pakistani soldier was killed and another injured as armies of India and Pakistan traded fire along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu region on Saturday morning. Fatima, 55, of Dadina village was admitted to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura in after she suffered critical head injuries on July 23. His family alleged that the woman was beaten up by the police without any provocation when she was standing with other village women. Neglected by doctors, boy loses eye sight Srinagar, July 27: A 20 year old boy form Kupwara neglected by the doctors in SMHS hospital lost his vision raising a question mark over the Jammu and Kashmir government’s claims of providing quality healthcare. According to KNS Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Gani of Rationpora Kupwara found some pain in his right eye on 21 July. Soon after his father took him in CHC hospital Kupwara where doctors admitted him under MRD No 36979. But when doctors found serious problem they referred him to SMHS hospital Srinagar on July 23.
