AARTS & CO INTERIEUR EN ADVIES: TOGETHER WE CREATE ENVIRONMENTS THAT SUPPORT GREAT WORK!

When your staff are always revved for another day at the office, you know you’re doing something right as an employer, says Jasper Broeders. As managing director of aarts & co, he ought to know. This interior company creates office spaces designed to have employees coming to work with a smile every day.

Jasper acquired aarts & co in 2002 with a mission to make it a leading specialist in creating interior designs and the delivery and installation of contract furniture. A mission that, two decades later, he has clearly accomplished. But it wasn’t all smooth sailing, the director says truthfully. “I threw myself into my work those first few years and it eventually took a toll on my health. Then I changed my vision on life and also began rethinking what’s important for the company. How we see it; people make the difference to an organizations wellbeing.” Jasper and his team took this vision to heart in how they approach clients, and even created a new slogan to match: “Hello Tomorrow”, Jasper says with a grin. “It stands for how we work with each client to create an inspiring and sustainable environment that truly connects with the human side of their organization, and spaces that make people smile when they think about tomorrow’s workday.”

Ambassadors

In other words, aarts & co interieur en advies creates interiors that are not only functional, but above all an extension of a company’s DNA. With a seasoned team of over thirty Workplace consultants, interior designers, back-office and their in house own installation team , they know how to deliver innovative spaces that never fail to amaze clients. On top of that, with

5,000 square metres of combined space in Amsterdam and Tilburg, they also cater to a diverse range of companies. From Microsoft and Facebook to EY, JP Morgan and Loyens & Loeff, aarts & co has a large portfolio of clients. All of them satisfied, Jasper emphasizes, thanks to a personalized approach. “Our clients became real aarts & co ambassadors”, he laughs. “So far, all of our advertising has been by word of mouth, which is in my opinion the best way.”

Needs, wants and wishes

What’s involved in the process of designing an office interior? Jasper says it all starts with taking stock of what the employees of our client need in their environment to make great work possible. “We ask about all kinds of aspects that factor into the design of a space. I mean, sure, you can churn out a bunch of six-person meeting rooms, but if our questionnaire shows that most meetings are just two or three people, we can put that space to better use.” aarts & co also always consults with the management about any other aspects they want to change. “Surprising things can come out of that, so it’s really good to do this questionnaire.” Having gathered their input, our workplace consultants and interior designer go to the drawing board to create an interior design proposal and plan fully tailored to the client’s wishes and beyond!.

Creating Impact

“We’re also very focused on creating a big impact looking at sustainable topics”, Jasper adds. “From eco-friendly furniture and products to coming up with innovative ways to re-/upcycle old furnishings. As far as we’re concerned, the sky is the limit.” Witness a recent project aarts & co did involving a tender for a large school community. “They wanted to know what to do with old classroom furniture they no longer needed. It was classroom furniture that unfortunately we couldn’t reupholster or anything we used our network to find a right purpose for these items and shipped it to Kenya to furnish the seven poorest schools overthere. Innovative projects like this is what aarts & co is all about. “Thinking out of the box with our clients: that’s what we love.”
