STORY BACKGROUND INTRODUCTION

The story of Nier: Automata taking place thousands of years after human extinction. Set in the year 11945 AD, the story revolves around a proxy war between the human-made androids and the machine army of invaders from another world. Lacking both emotions and true names, androids have particular attitudes that distinguish them from their fellows. The "YoRHa" android forces are commanded from the Bunker, a reconnaissance base in orbit above Earth. They fight alongside the pre-YoRHa androids on Earth (known as the Resistance) to drive back the Machines. However, Both Android and Mechnical lifeforms seem to grow human emotions gradually....

Created by advanced mechnical lifeform---Adam (chapter boss in original game) Adam has strong curiosity in human. He tries to learn everything about human society, so he built this copied city . Although with weird cubes and pure white facade, It looks totally like a small Europe city, but it's just an empty shell that immitate human society. Adam can build sonething like human, but he doesn't have emotions, which is the main reason caused his failure. Copied city reesign will be the central design part for stage 1, and inspiration for stage 2 (final drawings)

UFO, <Independent day> INSPIRATION If there's only skycraper in copied city it might be boring. Huge objects are fasinating, mysterious and fearful. A central tower can be built as the city center.

City like those appear very often in sci-fi movie/games those days. Also in the original Neir game it has scenes like this. How their image shot were made is worth to look at.

Pascal's village: In chapter 3 of the original game, Our main character will enter a new area called "PASCAL'S VILLAGE". In this chapter the character meet mechnical lifeforms that only seek for peace, who tired of endless war. In the original game pascal village is only a small, old tree house with several tents...What will happen when copied city meet the village? What reaction will the main character have when facing more friendly robots? Those places are both created by mechnical lifeforms...Should be interesting to see how they live in a city scale space.
