Hello my name is Cindy König aka Cici King. I was born in Wolgast, a city on the Baltic Sea in Germany. I live in Berlin since 35 years. My greatest wish: to earn my money with creativity. 6 Years ago I graduated finally my education for Hair & Make-up Artist. Since that time I knew that I want to become photographer to hold tight the special moments - special eyes special feelings - special faces. I started photography, five years ago. After having lost a loved one, I realized how important it is to have pictures of important moments in life. I believe we all have stories that can be told through an image. I am specialist in portraits, fashion shoots, and also photos of artists. I am thrilled to have a job that allows me to explore my creativity. Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;m always looking for the beautiful in my clients, the exchange with them, the trust they put in me to capture important moments. I am always looking forward to a new adventure, to learn more, travel, and discover. At every shoot, I learn something about life, I am honored to be able to witness and document the emotions of my clients. Through my pictures I want to show everyoneâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s beauty. The word HEART has been used to describe a number of these traits. What do you think it means for someone to have “Heart” in Muay Thai? To have “heart” in Muay Thai means to be persistent and enduring. In Thailand, the Thais place a big amount of emphasis on a fighter having heart. Fighters having heart that lose still get competitive fights because of their no quit way of fighting. Where did you develop this no excuses, never quit attitude from? Have you always been like this growing up (before Muay Thai) or is it something that has gotten stronger as you gained more experience? I have always had that attitude. Whenever I wanted something, I did it through hard work and a no excuses attitude. I have done this in my other profession as a graphic designer. I was featured in magazines such as GD USA and the world renown Logo Lounge book. I have been winning awards from the time I was in high school and it was all done through hard work.

not everyone is built with the ability to be able to fight

What’s your favorite strike/ submission to use in any fight? I like all of the strikes, Muay Thai uses elbows, punches, knees and kicks. It’s not so much a single strike for me but more so the way the strikes are put together to make a flawlessly efficient combination. What does it mean (for you) to be a fighter? A person who fights. I don’t romanticize on the definition and place philosophical meanings to the word. It also doesn’t mean that everyone who steps into the ring is a fighter, not everyone is built with the ability to be able to fight. There is a great difference between someone who can perform the duty of fighting at a gym and having the skill to do it under pressure in front

of a crowd—across from someone who is attempting to cause physical harm to you. What separates you from every other fighter in your division? Early on while I was an amateur I was able to stay very calm during the fights. I realized that this was necessary in order to perform the strikes at a high level with efficiency. Everyone noticed the difference between me and the rest of the fighters. At a professional level, most fighters have developed the skill to stay calm during the fight. I think now what separates me is the fact that I want to do this at the highest level possible and so I challenge the toughest opponents

to fight me. Not all fights are won but I know that I have done everything to become the best that I can be. Do you have any tricks that you use to keep yourself on the right path when it comes to training and keeping focused on your goals? No tricks, no shortcuts. Keeping yourself on the right path takes focus, dedication, discipline and like I said in the previous answer— hard work. It also helps to have the right people besides you for guidance. When my main coach Ray Cruz and I set out on this journey we both had the same goals. Along the rest of my team we worked very hard to attain them.

What is it like for you to be in the ring during a fight? (aka, what do you feel, what is going through your head, what makes you want to be there). During the actual fight my focus is at 100%, I am in there trying to set the opponent up for certain strikes while attempting to out score him. At this point there is no time for fear, all of my energy is used to attack or react. What do you want to be remembered for at the end of your career? A high caliber fighter that took on every challenge who was never afraid of opposition. I have fought opponents with substantially more experience than me and I do it on a regular basis. This is my way of striving to be the best that I can be. It also gives me peace that I will never have regrets because I have performed in this sport at the highest level possible. Instagram:
