My name is Jason Raikes. These days people have made it a habit to call me a photographer. Honestly I just think of myself as an artist who just happens to have a camera. I use many mediums to express my ideas and philosophical values but I have to say I am drawn to the raw authentic nature of photography. I love the idea of being able to convey a message completely through a visual language. I have many goals but my main goal is to live to see a modern day renaissance that rivals, if not eclipses, the harlem renaissance. It’ll be a beautiful day when you can wake up and see that the world has undergone a revolution of innovative thinking. I’d love to be apart of that world or rather I’d love to help shape it. riginally from Hamilton and now living in Hightstown, New Jersey, Candace Nicole Bilardo has displayed her talent as a makeup artist in the fashion industry. She started her career by attending the Rain Makeup Academy taught by world reopened celebrity makeup artist, Rain Andreani. She is working to make a name for herself both on and off the runway.
Candace has collaborated with various photographers including: Phillip Dias Jr., Fabiola Garcia, Nicole DeFranco, and John Sulfies to name a few. In addition to fashion and editorial work, she has a passion for bridal makeup; working for multiple freelance companies in the tri state area. To keep up with the latest trends and makeup techniques, Candace continues to take courses and classes to perfect her skill. y tattoos are a collection of memories, representing who I am. Whenever I pass a mirror and see the hummingbird on my shoulder, I remember the joy I felt from every moment shared with my grandmother. My newest addition, a half-sleeve portrait of my beloved cat Shiloh, sends waves of comfort washing over me. Having these pieces helped me cope with the loss of both of them. My legs are devoted to favorite memories of my childhood: the cartoons I watched every Saturday morning, and my favorite Disney movie, “Bambi”. The quote on my ribs warns others of my mischief, and the one on my collarbone is a reminder that the burdens we face are often life lessons in disguise. The love I have for my ink is indescribable, nor can I ever articulate the gratitude I feel towards those who have beautifully adorned my body with their artwork.
