BRONSON FARR InTeRVIeW BY: PHILLIP DIAS JR.

My name is Bronson, I grew up in San Francisco, but graduated college, fell in love and discovered photography in Arizona. I recently moved to nYc and cannot wait to fall in love with the people and city! over time the process of photography has become a creative outlet that continually inspires and stretches me to become better at my craft. It’s a rocky relationship but I wouldn’t change anything about it. You will see that most of my photos feature an interesting person that I know or met while adventuring around different countries or states. I have no problem at all asking a stranger to take take a photo for me. I think everyone likes having a photo taken. A photo says “I’m here, I existed” and I love that. I shoot with a canon t3i but am looking to upgrade soon. couple things you can always count on from me when we meet is a bright smile, good conversation and a camera in your face. (probably a hug to, lets be honest). So, sit down, grab a drink and stay a while. Instagram - @bronsonfarr

But wait! Let me make it clear that I won’t just jump straight into the guiltless and rushedly unsynchronized sex - Mother taught me better. I will happily stomach the awkwardness of meeting you in a public place that balances the carefully constructed ideal representation of myself while being crowded enough to ensure witnesses will be present if either of us is some crazed murderer. I’d also expect you to pay for my meal dear beautiful stranger, as well as the series of drinks that will help ease the conversation and blur the edges of our beings. The conversation, I am sure, will endure its series of over-

BEAUTY &ThE INK INTERVIEW BY: PHILLIP DIAS JR.

M

y name is Natalie Cruz and I’m a New jersey born artist. As a matter of fact, art was one thing I knew I did well. Until April 2009 my father gifted me a pair of tattoo machines. That was the year my life changed. I worked my way into tattooing at the age of 13. I starting off tattooing friends, family, and almost every person within a 10 mile radius. Being born and raised in Paterson gave me access to people from all over who trusted me enough to “practice” on them. This alone gave me the motivation I needed to get out of Paterson and into a better place for myself. One year later, I was doing my apprenticeship at Blackwork Tattoo in Little Falls NJ where I continue to work today! I fell in love with the art, the clients, the stories, the laughs and tears alike. Everyone had a story to tell when put under the needle. Naturally, I listened, gave advice. It was the healing that arose from the pain which I related to most. My work consist mostly of strong, confident women characters. At first they were my alter egos, but over the years I believe I’ve become my characters, and they’ve all become who I am today. Tattooing saved me and in return I gave my time, patience and lifestyle over to it. And from there, it was history.
