Preface about myself and architecture Hello! My name is Edison, I’m an Architect and Urban Planner recently graduated from a 5-year program at The Fine Arts School of Sao Paulo (Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo). Studying architecture has always been my dream, and I encountered a lot of challenges before I could finally achieve it. As a person, and as an architect, I’m very driven, creative and I appreciate new experiences and opportunities to learn and to grow. What I try to show with my projects is an expression of architecture that values the will of the people. Architecture is our way to materialize sentiments, goals, dreams and social complex dynamics. My intention is to portrait an archicture filled with empathy, social awarness and that is sensible to the people and the cities.
On the next pages, my curriculum vitae and qualifications will be specified, as well as the table of contents for the present portfolio

1. Itororó Greenway The Itororó Greenway project is based on the need to break the paradigm of the way of planning and thinking about the city of São Paulo, idealizing a new reality for the current 23 de Maio Av., the biggest express way and the symbol of the car domain over the people. The principle of this project is to replace the highway perspective with a public space that rescues the memory of the deep valley rivers, specifically the itororó and boa vista streams, while providing the possibility of an alternative future for the metropolis of São Paulo. In that future, the use of the car on the site will be blocked and a green corridor with ecosystemical services will enter in its place, with a public space for people in reconnection with the natural environment.
2020
There will be the offer of public transport via high capacity trains, replacing the idea of using the car, a bike path and a pedestrianized route amid the reforestation and revitalization of the streams for the entire route. Together, different living spaces and accessible connections with the upper levels will be proposed using the ramps that once belonged to cars, retrofitting them for use by pedestrians and cyclists. In this way, the reversal of the current perspective of using deep valley rivers for people will result in an urban revolution in search of a more sustainable, humane and democratic world, with access to the city and use of qualified and safe public space in times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Urban Analysis The following is an urban reading of the future greenway route and surroundings. Then, it will be presented the design pos-
sibilities that will be proposed to reframe the avenue of cars in search of the stream and people once again.
zoning the current zoning for 23 de Maio Avenue characterizes and reiterates the character of the vehicle flow axis. the 2014 municipal master plan considers the adjacent blocks as an axis for urban structuring, based on densification and mixed use constructions. there is no mention about the historical importance of the river for the relation between people and nature use of land the 23 de Maio Avenue has no street addresses, therefore, its entire length is turned towards the bottom of the surrounding lands, determining its distance from the rest of the city, in this way, the land use ends up varying, but never connecting with the place. The difference of heights between the avenue and the rest of the city dooms the use of the current express way. vegetation composed in part by a landscaping project that contemplates only 1.5 km of the road total length, with the rest presenting squares that are underutilized and disconnected from the road and the city, the vegetation on the road has always been neglected in favor of cars, and the potential of quality public spaces was always putted aside. hydrogaphy there are two buffered and channeled streams along the road: the Itororó stream, a tributary of the Anhangabaú river; and the Boa Vista, which flows into the Ibirapuera Park, the biggest park in Sao Paulo. over time, the urban rivers in são paulo disappeared in favor of cars and the dynamics of the modernist urban planning method. topography there is a difference of at least 5 meters between the level of the road and the top of the valley, which may vary according to the point analyzed, which makes it difficult to connect the city with the place, especially for pedestrians, who do not currently use the road. in the past, that’s one of the reasons why the deep valey rivers were chosen to receive express ways in Sao Paulo.
1. Zoning Regulations mixed use zone centrality zone axis of urban estruturation zone it was considered the predominant pattern to each block
2. Use of land residential-mixed use commercial-mixed use residential commercial, services it was considered the predominant pattern to each block

The sectorization aims to divide the 5000 meters of the greenway into 7 independent and self sufficient sectors. Each sector has their own set of characteristics, strengths and weaknesses. The advantage of the sectorization by the viaducts is that gives the project the chance to use the old car accesses as new ways of reaching the greenway by its ramps, reinventing the usage of the old expressway for the people.

2. São Domingos Library The library complex São Domingos aims to do more than bring public equipment for culture and leisure to the region of city america, in Sao Paulo. The exploded program of the libraries aims precisely to make them the engine of an urban transformation, connecting 3 parts until then separated from the neighborhood. Block A, made up of a children’s library, a video library and a leisure area at the front, has a walkway to the highest part of the park. In turn, by means of a ramp between the forest of preserved vegetation, it is possible to access Block B, with an exhibition area, cafes and an open-air auditorium. It connects with the area pro-

posed by the new subdivision and begins the linear park that permeates the new lots. Block C seeks to bring this access and integration with the toronto city park, with the main library with direct views of the park. The structure of the library is based in V-frames wood pillars and wooden vierendeel beams that sustain the wood roof with vegetation on top. All three blocks maintain the same structural process and the result is an even perspective through the complex. Each block has its function, and the lower part of Block C connects itself with the City of Toronto Park, bringing a urban connection between once before separate locations.

The idea was to use the parking lot on Av. about Mayan who may or may not integrate the school areas are benedict. The party’s choice took into account the capacity to revitalize public equipment, as well as the needs of the surrounding users. Main guidelines: 1. Affordable multifunctional equipment: In this sense, it houses a series of functions that allow the aforementioned objectives to be successful. In the context in which it is inserted, it is vitally necessary that the project be able to. premise the social and not the generic architecture. 3. socioenvironmental responsibility: The intervention will have a complementary character to that established on the monastery grounds, considering the responsibility of architects when designing with sustainability issues in mind, better use of materials, in addition to social and environmental awareness.

4. School of Architecture and Design Project carried out in the 6th semester of the Architecture and Urbanism course at Centro Universitário Belas Artes in São Paulo. The objective of the project was to implement the program of a university in the studied field. From discussions and research on the implantation of two colleges on the land near the Vila Prudente station, the project proposal arises seeking to interfere little in the topography of the place. The set makes explicit its materiality, divided between classrooms and laboratories, events area, library and administrative area. And it is connected by means of trusses that continue the design of the slabs throughout the route.
2018
The structural project is set by a groundfloor V framing concrete pillars and the building rising with a steel frame trusses for bottom to the top. The result is a brazillian modernist inspired architecture with the contemporary technologies such as the trusses system. The groundfloor is completely open to the public, inviting people from the neighborhood to stay and enjoy the public space with ease. All blocks are set and projected to receive accessibility ramps all the way to make the whole complex accessible to anyone. The blocks are set by function and served with all equipments necessary for the university.
