Welcome to Nielson Landon & Cattle 2025 Annual Bull sale! We are pleased to be partnered up again this year with C & E Stephens Farms and their strong set of simmental bulls.
This year we have on offer Black and Red angus yearling bulls as well as our first few Fullblood Simmentals! We are extremely happy with how the bulls have progressed this year.
All of the bulls are on a TMR ration consisting of dry hay, barley silage and Masterfeeds pellet mixture. They have had strong gains all winter long. We encourage you to come walk through the bulls anytime, we’d be happy to show you around. Cows are close by for viewing to give you an idea on their maternal traits.
The sale will again be a Timed Auction this year, with bulls and heifers penned outside of the shop for you to walk through and assess. We invite you to come out sale day for lunch and answer any questions you might have.

This year again, we are doing an Online Timed Sale at the farm ending at 7 PM on April 3rd. There will be an open house with food being served that day. Justamere Jaeger has done a tremendous job for us. We bought half interest in him at Soty in 2021. He was crowned reserve senior bull calf champion at CWA that fall. Since then he has walked the pastures for the Fox family and here every breeding season. His females are excellent and his bulls grow into big stout calves by fall. They are also very efficient easy keeping docile cattle. His EPDs are very solid and accurate. He is our kind of bull.
Welcome to the 2025 Nielson Land & Cattle bull sale. We are honoured and excited to be a part of the sale again this year. Our offering is growing year over year and we have 12 bulls on offer this year. Our purebread herd has grown to 60 +/- cows calving this year and will steadily increase with the retention of our best females each year.
I think there’s something for everyone in our offering, from power bulls to calving ease, large to small framed, or low BW to larger BW bulls. There should be a bull that can meet and hopefully exceed your needs.
The bulls were weened early October and fed a silage/hay/mineral TMR and pail fed brown oats until the new year. They then get transitioned from the oats to a Masterfeeds bull pellet, still pail fed to keep the bulls used to us and nice and quiet. They’ve came along nicely and are maturing at a nice smooth pace and will be ready to go out and cover some cows or heifers.
Lastly I’d like to thank all past, present and future customers and bidders. We appreciate the confidence in our program and hope to keep you happy with your purchases. The cow business is a great life to be in and it’s nice when we are all getting rewarded for our hard work. The future looks bright and here’s to it staying that way.
