Basic Unit: U+ W W consists of two U in a 3D way Process: I tried to weave U. I started with notepads. A coincidence in my experiments was interes�ng. I slightly adjust the angle of second line’s U. From the front, it is U + W, but from the side, the W is made of two separated Us, which are reflected along Z axis. Then the basic unit (U+W) is reflected in the following row and thus, creates a 3D pa�ern.
Concept: The project starts from an emo�onal choice: Because I like the “U” shape, which is like a paperclip and repeats a lot in my name. When playing with the �le, I found “U” quite interes�ng. It has two tac�le and a half round ring to change the direc�on. And unlike a circle, it is more flexible with an opening.
