The ‘Food Bank Generation’ Game fuses the somewhat unlikely components of hunger poverty and classic television gameshows as a provocative vehicle to explore the plight of foodbank use and other pressures facing residents of the Sunderland area and wider region.
Developed alongside local residents, organisations, and service users, this play-along ‘golden generation’ gameshow – think The Generation Game, Supermarket Sweep, Play Your Cards Right - is packed with practical games and tasks designed to entertain whilst drawing attention to their underlying stories to highlight current issues as well as ‘the positive side of poverty’ through humour, pathos, human spirit and sense of community.
