Protection of the swallows The swallow (Hirundo rustica) is increasingly diminishing, for the loss of nest sites, or for the transformation of traditional farms in barracks for industrial production. Swifts and martins nest in urban areas. Most of the time the nests are destroyed by the tenants of the various settlements. The swallow is a biological indicator. Its presence or absence demonstrates the health of the environment

voracious eaters of troublesome insects and pests like mosquitoes.

Direct beneficiaries are those specie.In continuing decline due to lack of protection and suitable places for nesting, on their return from Africa. Indirect beneficiary is the very nature and the chain system alimentare.PoichĂŠ the insectivorous species, regulates the number of insect pests. Decreasing the number of insect pests also would decrease the use of pesticides are harmful to humans and the environment.
Methods of realization The nests will be purchased on the emporium Lipu, as per protocol, positioned using a ladder truck under the eaves of homes, from volunteers lipu. The nests when they are occupied by various species involved, will be monitored by volunteers staff of Lipu.
