Your Mind Matters With Roxy… Hi readers, I’m Roxanne Rhodes and I’m a psychotherapist, clinical hypnotherapist and coach with a private practice in Clowne.

Christmas is almost here!! Local, Reliable Consultants I absolutely LOVE it but as always it brings the usual in your Area!! stresses of present buying, socialising and the Looking for a flexible expectation of being merry. part time earning opportunity This month I wanted to or want to buy some products offer you some quick tips Join Our Team Today!! FREE To Join for fighting the Christmas Loads of FREE Gifts to Win stress! Plus Earn Commission at 20-35% 1) Remember and Call/Text Kay & Kelly repeat – “this too shall pass”! This is a phrase I for a Catalogue today learned to believe in whole-heartedly when I had my son a couple of years ago. It may feel like it’s never ending, but you won’t be queuing forever. The work Xmas party will be over in a few hours. Hang in there - it passes. Christmas lasts a couple of weeks and then it’s all over for another fifty! 2) Learn how to calm down. I’ve mentioned 7/11 Text or Call Kelly breathing in a heap of previous articles. It works! 07575 438883 Use positive self-talk and conscious muscle relaxation to cope and ease the strain and the panic. 3) Check your diet. grumpy and bah-humbug like! Grab a satsuma and some nuts! 4) Get more sleep. It’s the season of office parties, kid’s plays and seeing absent relatives, often who live far away. We cram a lot into our Christmas holidays (if we’re lucky enough to get time off from work) and this often leaves us sleep-deprived, rather than rested. Take time to get some extra sleep where you can. You don’t have to cram every minute full and you don’t have to accept every invitation. 5) Plan ahead. As much as there is to fit in, there’s nothing quite as head exploding as being ready to set off to a family party only to realise that you need to wrap some presents for some people that you won’t see again. It’s not worth the stress. Get organised avoiding stress is a whole heap better than dealing with it!! I hope that some of these tips are useful and I wish you all a very happy and calm Christmas and huge best wishes for the new year ahead! See you next month. The Patient Participation Group would like to thank our patients for their continued support. The practice has been through a period of change after being taken over by DCHS. It has taken some time for us to get used to a new regime, a different way of working, along with new forward looking ideas. The practice hope to have a new GP starting in January. The next Registrar rotation commences in December 2017 with two new doctors who are with us for four months' training. We are still looking into the

possibility of obtaining a few more of the higher seat chairs, and I believe that DCHS have looked at the possibility of having hand rails fitted along the corridor wall. For some time now, the PPG have asked that photographs of staff members be displayed in the waiting room. Grant Stothard, chair of PPG.

Becky’s Movie Previews Merry Christmas everyone. The best time of year is upon us and it may not be for everyone but whether you like to binge on all things festive or try to avoid it, you can’t deny that this time of year brings people together. So if you want a break from it all or a break from the cold, here is what will be showing in the cinema this month.

Rejected by his publishers, he set out to write and self-publish a book he hoped would keep his family afloat and revive his career. Pitch Perfect 3

The gift that keeps on giving is back again for the last time (so far). We last saw The Barden Bellas when they were graduating college and winning the World Acapella Championships. Now they are off living their own lives and discovering it isn’t that easy when you aren’t in college and singing acapella all the time. But when the opportunity arises for the old gang to get back together to perform in a USO tour in Europe, they jump at the chance. They then face the new obstacle when their apparent competition comes with actual musical Instruments. All the Bellas return for this

final call and is set to be as fun and ‘Aca-Awesome’ as the previous two. Definitely worth a watch for those who are more musically inclined. Release date: 20th December 2017

later when 2 siblings play the game. Now, the game has been converted to a video game and has long since been forgotten. When four teenagers are clearing out their school basement for detention they come across the ancient game and decide to have a go. A decision they soon come to regret when they are all sucked into the jungle setting and literally become the adult avatars they chose. To beat the game and return to the real world they have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives and change the way they think about themselves or they’ll be stuck in the game forever. A clever way to go back to the story of Jumanji without trying to re-make the original, this continuation looks to be a lot of fun. Dwayne Johnson (Fast and Furious, G.I.Joe), Karen Gillan

The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan

Saturday 2nd December 2017 to Tuesday 2nd January 2018 At Pomegranate Theatre Hoist the mainsail. Ship loads of pantomime-style nautical naughtiness is setting sail this Christmas as we hook up with the boy who never grew up in The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan. Defying gravity, Wendy, Michael and John Darling take the second star to the right and straight on till morning as they fly from the rooftops of Victorian London to join Peter, the Lost Boys and the fairy Tinkerbell in Never Land where the Jolly Roger is anchored and Captain Hook is on a mission to outwit and out manoeuvre our hero. Dame Able Mabel is on course to deliver a titanic treasure chest of sea faring couture and the ship’s mate Smee will add to the chock-a-block comedy capers and high sea shenanigans! You don’t have to believe in fairies but an awfully big adventure awaits audiences of all ages in a magical and spectacular pantomime!

Great news...we are happy to announce that Peak FM breakfast show presenters Cat & Ricky will play a part in a performance of this year's Pantomime - The Adventures of Peter Pan at Chesterfield Theatres. They will star in the performance on Tuesday 19 December at 2:30pm.
