Deadpool If you like your superhero films where the regular man or woman have these great abilities and use those to help the average person and save the world from bad guys; this isn’t your kind of film. Deadpool is what you would call an anti-hero, using his abilities for his own gain. Although that doesn’t mean you root against him. In an effort to cure his cancer, former special forces operative Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds, Van Wilder, Green Lantern) was subjected to an experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, disfigured skin, an unstable mind, and a "dark, twisted" sense of humour. Armed with

new abilities and a new identity, Wilson hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life and is threatening the life of the one person he cares about. Reynolds is the perfect casting for this sarcastic, wise-cracking anti-hero which is definitely not one for the kids but perfect if you have a dark sense of humour. Release date: 10 February 2016

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Everyone seems to know the epic love story of Elizabeth Bennett and Mr Darcy. If you are a traditionalist who would like to keep the romance alive, then I would avoid this next film. However, if you like new twists on an old tale then give it a go. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is a fresh twist on Jane Austen’s widely celebrated novel. A mysterious plague has fallen upon 19th century England, the land is overrun with the undead and feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet (Lily James, Cinderella) is a master of martial arts and weaponry. Casting aside personal pride and social prejudices, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy must unite on the

blood-soaked battlefield to rid the country of the zombie menace and discover their true love for one another. An impressive cast which includes Douglas Booth, Charles Dance, Suki Waterhouse and Sally Phillips. Release date: 11 February 2016 th

How To Be Single How to be Single is an American romantic comedy about the trials and errors of being single. There's a right way to be single, a wrong way to be single, and then...there's Alice (Dakota Johnson, Fifty Shades of Grey). And Robin (Rebel Wilson, Pitch Perfect). Lucy. Meg. Tom. David. New York City is full of lonely hearts seeking the right match, be it a love connection, a hook-up, or something in the middle. And somewhere between the teasing texts and one-night stands, what these unmarried people all have in common is the need to learn how to be single in a world filled with ever-evolving

In light of this, the three charities that make up #ChallengeDerbyshire; Ashgate Hospicecare, Blythe House Hospice and Helen’s Trust, are asking businesses to offer their staff an opportunity to make a donation in exchange for an extra days holiday. Castle Street Medical Centre Bolsover… The CSMC PPG held its January meeting at the surgery on Monday 18th. The new Carers Group was discussed and the first meeting of the group will be on Thursday 28th January at 1.30 pm at the surgery. At the meeting there will be the First Contact and the Sitting Service. Letters have been sent out to our registered list of carers inviting them to come along to the meeting. The PPG will actively support this group and it is hoped that anyone who is a carer and might need advice or support will come to the meeting. Care in the Community is a highly topical subject at this time, especially with the new initiative to try and treat more patients at home, and therefore free up hospital beds. At a recent HCCG Network meeting, the subject of Patients Stories was discussed. HCCG would like patients to write to them with stories about patients experiences, whether good or bad. HCCG can then use this information when speaking to service providers. The stories

advised in early February. Working behind the scenes could be more productive than operating as part of a team. Keeping your ego in check will attract the admiration of an authority figure. Home life will become increasingly important towards the end of the month. Take time out of your busy schedule to spend time with your nearest and dearest. CAPRICORN Dec 22nd - January 20th You won't be able to change a relative's opinion at the beginning of the month, so don't even try. Your energy is better spent on a group project that is spiraling out of control. This is your chance to exercise your leadership ability in an emotionally satisfying way. On the 10th, a moneymaking opportunity will be dangled in front of you. Beware of accepting this offer, as there are lots of hidden strings attached. You're better off expanding your horizons with a trip or adult education course. Take the focus off work and concentrate on finding spiritual fulfilment instead. The Full Moon on the 22nd warns against ignoring small details that require your attention. Forgetting to sign a document could result in expensive penalties. As February comes to a close, you'll be able to negotiate a better deal on household expenses. Don't be afraid to call a service provider and play the loyal customer card.

Resist the temptation to overhaul your appearance on the 8th, when the New Moon could prompt you to make a decision you will later regret. Your love life could give you a great deal of pleasure mid-month. Be receptive to your partner's generosity. You're sure to turn heads as February turns to March. Take this opportunity to make an important presentation. The Full Moon on the 22nd could cause a fight to erupt over joint finances. You might have to hire a lawyer to get your fair share of this fund. Summon your courage and demand what is yours. PISCES February 20th March 20th Money will be tight at the beginning of the month, so you shouldn't make any impulsive purchases. If you're going to improve your financial situation, you will have to open a savings account. A good way to make some extra money is to teach your skills and talents to others or write a 'How To' instruction manual. Sharing your expertise with others can be lucrative. Fortunately, your best friend or romantic partner will give you lots of emotional support. The New Moon on the 8th may force you to operate on your own, even if you'd rather operate as part of a team. Take this opportunity to draw on your inner resources and reach a new level of success. Your best qualities will be evident to the world during the second half of February. Finding love will be easy, but holding on to it will be more challenging. PETS CORNER - Caring For Your Dog In Winter…

Well it appears winter is finally upon on us and as so many articles are written about dogs in hot cars in summer I thought it was worth writing one about some of the things to think about in winter as well. Cold - The first obvious peril of winter as for all of us is the cold. Some dogs will feel the cold much more than others. If you have a Bernese Mountain dog it’s probably safe to say on your average walk they won’t need a coat on. However, if you have a Lurcher or a Chihuahua it is worth investing in coat to help keep them warm when out and about. Also in very cold weather dog’s paws can get frost bite as well as irritated by the salt so if you are a fashion follower some doggy boots or if not some paw cream can be inexpensive and well worth using. As well as considering the cold on walks consider it when you put your dogs in the garden or yard for any length of time. Like humans’ dogs can become

hypothermic and at worst this can cause death. Don’t shut them out for long periods of time without warmth or shelter. Also think about where your dog sleeps and ensure they aren’t in cold drafts and that overnight the temperature doesn’t drop too low where they sleep. Road salt – It has become more commonly known but road salt often used on pavements as well as road is in fact toxic to dogs. Not necessarily by walking on it, although this can cause irritation, but by licking off when they get home. If grit and salt has been used and your dog has been walking on it is worth just giving their feet a rinse and towel to get it off when they get home. Anti-Freeze – This solution can be fatal to all animals including dogs. If you are filling your car, see others doing the same or have bottles around be extremely careful. If you think at any time your dog has consumed anti-freeze don’t delay take it straight to the vet.

Bulbs – On the subject of poisons as we all wait for the spring flowers to come through beware of your dog digging the bulbs up as they see the first shoots. Many flower bulbs while fun to play with are entirely poisonous to dogs if they eat them. Ice – Dogs aren’t great at ice skating so be careful when they are off leash near ponds. The won’t tell the difference between the solid ground and the thin layer of ice on the water. The can run out and come unstuck very quickly and the temperature of water at this time of year can very quickly cause shock and death in a dog and indeed a human who attempts to go out to rescue them. So for now I hope you and your pet stay warm and enjoy the winter season.
