The Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services oversees the registration, licensure, and regulation of Florida’s moving companies. The registration process ensures owners and/ or officers of the applicant moving company have not been convicted of a crime involving fraud, dishonesty, or any other act of moral turpitude. The Professional Movers Association of Florida worked closely with the legislature and department in establishing laws to protect consumers.
