Empty Plot During the field trip, our group members were paired and assigned into three groups. In Lagunillas, we collected data, photographed and hand-painted along the way, and expressed the characteristics of this venue through different vibrant lines and color blocks. After analyzing the site, we sorted out the different building conditions, building functions and important nodes of lagunillas. Moreover, we had made our own proposals and ideas for important nodes of the venue.

JUXTAPOSITION
Serial vision is used to better understand the street and building relationship of Lagunillas, so that we can feel immersive. Though the site is close to the city center, as you can see from the left, the street is very narrow and only one car is allowed to pass. Numerous twists and turns make the experience fun and unknown.

EXISITING
1
The current situation of Lagunillas is that the surrounding neighborhood is in decline, despite of its vital location. There are many abandoned buildings and empty plots that gives us the opportunity to utilize them and include them in making a connection with the surrounding which gives us the opportunity to visualize the opportunity to visualize the new future for the neighborhood.

MASTERPLAN 1
The Lagunillas acts as a transition space and a hub at the same time, by making connections between the surrounding areas, attracting people from all sides of the site.
3
11
The main aim was to create/acquire a human centric approach and respond to the synergies of the various user groups: students (university), city center(tourists) and the residents by proposing functions like day care centers, student corrolones, community halls etc. Also, in terms of scale and streets, we aim to preserve the urban morphology of the site by adaptive reuse of existing building and using traditional typologies such as corrolones as a base for our new proposals.

Lagunillas gym is a sports facility for residents . It is located on the side of lagunillas street, next to the parking building and day-care centre. Gym is surrounded by lagunillas street and basketball courts. Due to facing the motorway, the noise is the site's main acoustic challenge. The roof with a dip-shaped roof like a mask—a large acoustic shield to counter the motorway noise. The roof garden on the first floor allows residents to enjoy not only the sun on the south side, but also mountain views in the distance.

COMMERCIAL STREET
The commercial area goes through the middle of Lagunillas, which connects the northern and southern parts. It is like a string where is surrounded by the other functional areas. This kind of layout is beneficial to introduce people into Lagunillas.

Picasso Museum
Business Street Perspective 1 The most populated spots—— Picasso Museum, the proposed allotment and centural cultrural area, are stringed by the shops system. Meanwhile, beside these 3 places more intense shops are allocated. On the one hand, it can offer somewhere to rest after the tourist visits these places; on the other hand, these attractions can accumulate more population.
Commercial Area Plan
There are some shops distributted at the other boder of Lagunillas as well. Not only can tourists wandering around and go shopping at the same time, but the residence can also buy their groceries through these shops. This type of localized shops is what tourists looking forward to experience. Business Street Elevation
