harmonia mundi

Welcome to issue three of 20x20 magazine, a square platform for writings, visuals and cross-bred projects. The works in this issue have been assembled around the meta-words HARMONIA MUNDI, to which the artists and authors have responded in very different ways . The aim is to bring together interesting contributions and create a collection of pieces with no expiry date. We would like to thank all contributors for their work that inspire us to put together and publish this magazine. anthropomorphic

a selection process

The leopard crawled inside me while I slept. Opportunity presented and quick, he slipped in, making my heart his, as I absorbed his spots, his catness. Liquidity of muscle its own river. I became hunger, manifest in eyes, gleam of tooth. Surrendering, I thought let the animal become the best of me. Let my old soul loose to wander in ryegrass and wild roses.

Skimming history, I take the small stories, fold them deep into my own loss as if some explanation might emerge, a shape to chaos, a buttery lie. The rain has no anger, the overgrown ivy, heavy and glum. Crows cross town to their roost, stopping outside my window. I think them determined, lucky black things.
