harmonia mundi
Welcome to issue three of 20x20 magazine, a square platform for writings, visuals and cross-bred projects. The works in this issue have been assembled around the meta-words HARMONIA MUNDI, to which the artists and authors have responded in very different ways . The aim is to bring together interesting contributions and create a collection of pieces with no expiry date. We would like to thank all contributors for their work that inspire us to put together and publish this magazine. The leopard crawled inside me while I slept. Opportunity presented and quick, he slipped in, making my heart his, as I absorbed his spots, his catness. Liquidity of muscle its own river. I became hunger, manifest in eyes, gleam of tooth. Surrendering, I thought let the animal become the best of me. Let my old soul loose to wander in ryegrass and wild roses.
Skimming history, I take the small stories, fold them deep into my own loss as if some explanation might emerge, a shape to chaos, a buttery lie. The rain has no anger, the overgrown ivy, heavy and glum. Crows cross town to their roost, stopping outside my window. I think them determined, lucky black things.
