Aloha Mighty Opihis!

What’s up Makai?!

I hope you all are having an INCREDIBLE start to your 2024! With the start of a new year, this means new beginnings and new goals. Speaking of goals, my New Year’s resolution for this year is to incorporate healthy habits such as getting more sleep and taking mental health walks every now and then! January is also an extremely important month for recognition and spotlighting the dedicated hours of service that you all have done in the past year, whether it is through automatic awards, division and district contests, or the Member Recognition Program, so be sure to apply, apply, apply! Have a wonderful day, and happy serving!

Happy New Year! Hope you got to start of 2024 with a bang and set some New Year’s resolutions. Mine was to stop procrastinating… but we’ll see how long that goes. For the seniors this year, I hope you’re ready for our next chapter. Bee sure to apply for Key Club scholarship given out by local Kiwanis, the CNH District or KCI. There’s only three months left of the term so let’s keep working hard and reach our goals this year!

MEMBER of the Month Ryan has been a role model member for the month of November. He attends almost every service event and has been extremely helpful whenever his fellow members need something. He is sometimes on the quiet side but he still is really respectful to everyone in both Kauai and Kapaa Key Clubs. Thank you so much Ryan!

OFFICER of the Month Joshua is the Vice-President of Administration and has been a major help to Maui Key Club’s officer board. Although not having designated tasks for him to do specifically, he helps out with every board position, from treasurer to historian. With maintaining a professional attitude, he also interacts with Maui’s advisors and gives them updates when the President is absent. Joshua is an awesome officer to have, and his hard work has definitely deserved recognition. Thank you so much Joshua!

ADVISOR of the Month Mr. Kyle is Kauai’s new advisor for this term. It is his first year with Kiwanis, but he's already proven to be an outstanding Kiwanis advisor. Although his schedule is quite busy, he has helped out and attended numerous projects throughout the months of October and November. He has demonstrated strong leadership, commitment to community service, and the ability to guide and support Kauai Key Club’s members effectively. He is always there to help with anything Kauai needs and is truly a team player. Thank you so much Mr. Kyle!

CLUB of the Month Kapaa Key Club has seen great improvement in their service in recent months. Although they did have some issues getting their club active earlier in the term, they have encouraged membership engagement within their Key Clubbers by performing a multitude of in-person service events, as well as having options for virtual projects for when members are busy. Great job Kapaa!
