KIRBY FAMILY FARM WILD WEST WEEKEND AND REUNION // NOVEMBER 7-8
Head to Kirby Family Farm for a weekend full of Wild West fun and history. The event features the original Six Gun Territory cast members, train rides on Kirby Farm’s real historic railroad (but watch out for the train robbers!), live entertainment, fun carousel rides and more. Meet your childhood heroes, get pictures with the cast members and hear stories from the good-ol’ days. The event takes place from 10am-4pm both days. Purchase tickets in advance online for $15.99 per person ages 10 and up. Children ages 3-9 are $10.99. Children 2 and under are free. The First Friday Art Walk will take place in downtown Ocala from 6-9pm. The event occurs on the first Friday of each month, September through May, and features local artists selling their works throughout downtown and participating businesses with extended hours. Hands-on art activities and demonstrations for all ages will be provided by local non-profit arts and cultural organizations. In the event of inclement weather, the First Friday Art Walk will move to the Ocala Downtown Market, located at 310 SE Third Street. WEST OCALA WELLNESS COMMUNITY GARDEN REPLANT DAY // NOVEMBER 7 The City of Ocala, in partnership with the Florida Department of Health in Marion County and Feed the Need Garden, Inc., will host a West Ocala Wellness Community Garden Day from 8:30-10:30am at the community garden located at 2200 W Highway 40, between SW 21st and SW 23rd Avenue. Community members are encouraged to attend and replant their crops or start a new garden plot. Plots are available for $10 per year. The goal of the West Ocala Wellness Community Garden is to educate and provide an opportunity for citizens to plant, cultivate and harvest vegetables for their families. Join The Culture Curators at the Magnolia Art Xchange from 6-9pm for an evening that will include live tattooing as well as tattoo-inspired and -influenced art from some of Ocala’s best artists! Guests can expect great music by DJ Just Joel, great drinks and great vibes. Entrance fee is one unopened, unwrapped new toy per person.
