know it’s hard to tell that spring is upon us, with the crazy weather we’ve had lately, but if you’ve also noticed, the trees are starting to burst with pink and white blossoms and spring bulbs are poking their heads through the soil once again. One of the spring flowers that I find the most admirable is the dandelion. Their cheery yellow and white faces remind us that life continues moving forward, even after difficult seasons. I think this is why they are considered the official

flower of the military child. Military children emerge from childhood without traditional roots planted firmly in an area of extended family and familiar surroundings, but they will have roots that are far-reaching and strongly anchored. They bloom wherever the winds (or skies) take them, and they survive in a broad range of climates. Military children are eager, strong, and resilient…just like dandelions. Thank you to all the “dandelions” here at RAF Lakenheath!

We continue our series discussing techniques for implementing the 4 P's principle: placement, position, pressure and practice ow the hands are positioned on the club can affect the clubface direction at impact, which influences the direction of the shot. To achieve the correct position, we suggest placing your left hand (which is your top hand) on the golf club. Once your hand is positioned, look out of your left eye to see if you can see two knuckles on your left hand. If you can see your two knuckles on your left hand, you have achieved a suitable starting position for your top hand. If you position your right hand on the club most golf grips will have a manufacturer's logo at the bottom. Allow the thumb on your right hand to go left of the top letter on the golf grip; assuring all fingers and thumbs are attached to the club.

irman & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) provides information, support and services to help you balance the demands of family and the military lifestyle. The Air Force’s Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) is designed to provide support to military family members with special needs. However, you do not have to be enrolled in EFMP to access EFMP Family Support for consultation and information services. A&FRC EFMP Family Support is responsible for the community support function of the EFMP to include the following: • Provides assistance with information, consultation and referrals for on and off installation resources. • Provides assistance with navigating resources. • Facilitates parent training, support groups, and educational workshops. • Provides relevant school and educational information. • Provides important information about finances, relocation and other relevant topics to families with special needs. She mentors youth at the youth center for various programs including: SMART Girls and Power Hour. She will be competing in the upcoming Youth of the Year competition at RAF Mildenhall in May 2019.
