Step up the pace of your summer work out with this simple, yet effective, cardio workout. 1. Shuffles
Your feet should be shoulder-width apart. Keep your knees bent and your back straight. You want to shuffle to the side about five to ten feet. Make sure to keep your knees bent and low to the ground because if not it gets too easy. It helps works your quads and cardio with going back and forth quickly.
2. Dot Drill
4 5 This not only warms up your muscles but it also increases your agility. The Dot Drill will be hard at first. It is tiring and you may feel 3 clumsy when you first start. Set out or mark five spots that you can use as your dots. You 1 2 then start on number one. Jump to two, then the middle which is three. Four is on the same side as one up more to the front and five is to the right of four. When you hit five you start right back at one by hopping back to one to start over. Perform this for thirty seconds to one minute.
Condition 3. High Knees
Lift your knees high to target your quads and abs when you do this cardiovascular exercise that does not require a machine. Stand with your posture erect, tailbone slightly tucked under and your gaze forward. Bend your knees ninety degrees when you lift them. As if marching or jogging, alternate lifting up your right knee and then left knee as high as possible while maintaining an erect posture. Swing your arms by rotating them at the shoulder just like when you run. Set your feet just wider than shoulder-width apart to switch the focus to your glute muscles.
4. Burpees
Begin in a standing position. Drop into a squat position with your hands on the ground. Extend your feet back in one quick motion to assume the front plank position. For an added challenge, do a push-up from the plank position. Push back the squat position in one quick motion. Jump straight up as high as possible.
Remember to rest and replenish water and nutrients after this intense workout. For a more detailed look at these exercises, check out the video tutorial!

Sisters Kayse and Cherita offer bridal and special occasion selections in a market that needed them. Offering an array of designer wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, tuxedos, accessories and more, Pure Bridal aims to offer a “one-stop shop” for every special bride. Since opening just seven short months ago, Pure Bridal’s owners Kayse Carter and Cherita Gartin have helped over one hundred brides find their perfect wedding dress. The store carries several designer labels including Ella, Casablanca, Moonlight and Coco Anais, to name a few. The designer gowns range in price and gown quality. “Our wedding gown designers are so different from each other,” Cherita says. “If you asked each of the bridal consultants which designer was their favorite, you would get lots of different answers.” Even with so many designer and private labels, Pure Bridal remains affordable selling gowns from $300 to $2700, with most of the gowns in or near the $1000 range. In order to accommodate all brides; if a dress is not in stock, it can be ordered. “Our collection of
Ceremony dresses reflects not just the style of Kayse and me, but the general style of the upcoming season, with only the best or the season selected,” Cherita explains. “With both of us being designers, we examine every dress with a fine-toothed comb, meaning, if we can't find something we think a bride would dislike, we order it.” Pure Bridal has ten bridal consultants to help make the process as easy and fun as possible. Cherita says consultants begin by gathering information about the brides, including “her vision for a wedding gown, the details about the wedding, and getting to know her on a personal level.” They will then assist in finding the perfect accessories, undergarments, and wedding party attire. “Our bridal consultants are trained to do it all,” Cherita notes. “We request appointments be made, but we will take walk-ins if a consultant is available.” When shopping at Pure Bridal, brides can receive discounts on bridesmaid and flower girl dresses, mothers’ gowns, and men’s tuxedos. This will help the bride stay organized by keeping all of the attire details at one shop. “Our goal at Pure Bridal is to treat everyone how we would like to be treated. It is amazing
Ceremony how that little golden rule works too,” Cherita says. “Kayse and I come from a large family, but we are a family of storytellers and talkers. We love getting to know our brides and their families!”
